banner-elfsight
Banner

Banner from Elfsight lets you place a promotional or announcement banner on a Squarespace page, with images or video, text and a call-to-action button to draw attention to a message or offer. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform, not native Squarespace code. You build and customise it in Elfsight's online editor: choose an image or video, set its position and background, add a title and text, and link the banner or button to a website, email address or phone number. You can also adjust the button's text, colour, fill or outline, size and corner radius. Set the banner's width and height, then copy its embed code into Squarespace.

Who it suits

This banner suits Squarespace site owners who want to feature an offer, announcement, news item, event or welcome message within a page. It can also be used as a floating banner that stays visible while visitors scroll. You can start with a free plan.

One honest caveat

The banner is edited through Elfsight rather than Squarespace, so changes to its content and styling need to be made in Elfsight's editor. Its buttons link to a website, email address or phone number. On the free tier, the widget displays Elfsight branding and has monthly view limits; paid plans remove these. The banner stops showing if the Elfsight account lapses.

Installation

Build and style the banner in Elfsight's editor, then copy its embed code. For an inline banner, add a Squarespace Code Block where you want it and paste the code. For a floating banner, paste the code into Squarespace Code Injection as described on the vendor's Squarespace page.

Related guide: browse more Squarespace marketing plugins, or the full Squarespace plugins hub.
