button-elfsight
Button

Button from Elfsight lets you add a clickable call to action to a Squarespace page, directing visitors to a link, phone number, email address, social profile or chat. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform, not native Squarespace code. You build and customise it in Elfsight's online editor, then add its embed code to your site. Editor options include choosing an action, editing a one-line or two-line label, adding text above or below, and adjusting colours, fonts, size, icons and corner radius. You can place it within page content or use a floating button that stays visible while visitors scroll. Changes made later in the editor update automatically.

Who it suits

This button suits Squarespace site owners who want to make a specific next step visible, such as contacting the business, visiting a social profile, starting a chat or following a link. It can be placed in page content or set to float while visitors scroll. A free plan is available to start with.

One honest caveat

Choose the placement that fits the page: an embedded button sits in the content zone, while a floating button stays visible as visitors scroll. The available action needs to be configured for its destination, such as a URL, phone number, email address or social profile. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits; paid plans remove those. If your Elfsight account lapses, the widget stops showing.

Installation

Build and customise the button in Elfsight's online editor, then copy its embed code. For an inline button, paste the code into a Squarespace Code Block on the page. For a floating button, the vendor instructions use site-wide code injection. Later editor changes update automatically.

Related guide: browse more Squarespace marketing plugins, or the full Squarespace plugins hub.
