paypal-button-elfsight
PayPal Button

PayPal Button from Elfsight lets you add a PayPal payment button to a Squarespace page for one-time purchases, recurring subscriptions or donations. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform, not native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's online editor, you can choose the payment type, set item details or subscription periods, configure donation amounts, and select a country, language and currency. The editor also lets you adjust the button's size, shape, text and colour, change the PayPal icon colour, and show or hide payment system icons. You can set tax or shipping amounts and choose a page to send customers to after a successful transaction.

Who it suits

This widget suits Squarespace site owners who want to accept PayPal payments for products or services, offer recurring subscriptions, or collect donations. It provides options for button styling, localisation and payment details without adding native Squarespace payment code. A free plan is available to start with.

One honest caveat

The payment types described are one-time purchases, subscriptions and donations, so the widget's setup is centred on those options. It relies on Elfsight's hosted editor and platform rather than working as native Squarespace code. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits; paid plans remove those. The widget stops showing if the Elfsight account lapses.

Installation

Build and customise the button in Elfsight's online editor, then copy its embed code. For an inline button, paste the code into a Squarespace Code Block where you want it to appear. For the floating layout, the vendor's instructions use site-wide Code Injection instead. Later editor changes update automatically.

Related guide: browse more Squarespace store plugins, or the full Squarespace plugins hub.
