subscription-form-elfsight
Subscription Form

Subscription Form from Elfsight lets visitors sign up to receive newsletters, offers and updates through a form on your Squarespace page. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform, not native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's online editor, you can add a heading and caption, choose whether to ask for first name, last name and email, and edit the label and placeholder. You can also choose what happens after submission: show a success message, hide the form or redirect visitors to a URL. Four layouts are listed: Embedded, Popup, Pane and Side-in. The editor also lets you select a colour scheme or adjust parts of the design individually.

Who it suits

This form suits Squarespace site owners who want to collect email addresses for newsletters, offers or updates. It can also suit businesses that use Mailchimp to manage subscribers, or want to download collected email addresses as a CSV file. A free plan is available to start with.

One honest caveat

The listed layouts are limited to four, and the stated email-service connection is Mailchimp. Collected email addresses can be downloaded as a CSV file. On Elfsight's free tier, widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits; paid plans remove those. The widget is hosted by Elfsight, so it stops showing on your site if your Elfsight account lapses.

Installation

Build and configure the form in Elfsight's online editor, then copy its embed code. In Squarespace, paste the code into a Code Block on the page where you want the form to appear. Later edits made in Elfsight's editor update automatically on your site.

Related guide: browse more Squarespace marketing plugins, or the full Squarespace plugins hub.
