twitter-feed-elfsight
Twitter Feed

Twitter Feed from Elfsight displays posts from a public X (formerly Twitter) profile, hashtag or selected Tweets on a Squarespace page. Visitors can view text, images and GIFs in the feed, and use its Follow button; clicking a video takes them to Twitter to watch it. This is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform, not native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's online editor, you can choose a layout, connect a profile or content source, customise the header and feed elements, set the height and choose a colour for active elements. You can also select individual Tweets to include or exclude. After you add the embed code to Squarespace, later editor changes update automatically.

Who it suits

This widget suits businesses that want to show an active public profile, collect relevant hashtag posts or feature selected customer Tweets on a Squarespace page. It can also give visitors a way to follow the profile from the feed. A free plan is available to start with.

One honest caveat

The feed is limited to public accounts and public content, and Elfsight says updates usually arrive roughly every 48 hours. Visitors who click a video are redirected to Twitter to watch it. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits; paid plans remove those limits and branding. The widget stops showing if the Elfsight account lapses.

Installation

Build the feed in Elfsight's online editor by choosing a layout, connecting a profile or content source, and adjusting its settings. Copy the embed code and paste it into a Squarespace Code Block where you want the feed to appear. Later edits in the editor update automatically.

Related guide: browse more Squarespace gallery and media plugins, or the full Squarespace plugins hub.
