The native Accordion Block gives you two icon choices, a plus or an arrow, and that is where the personality ends. This snippet from Will's Toolkit swaps the default open and close icon for custom icons, so the accordion matches the rest of your design instead of announcing itself as a stock Squarespace block. It is a small change that does a lot for polish, particularly on FAQ pages where the accordion is the centrepiece.
Accordion Icons is part of Will's Toolkit, Will Myers' membership library of Squarespace plugins and code snippets, rather than a standalone purchase. Installation is copy and paste, and because Toolkit code is maintained centrally, fixes and improvements arrive without you having to reinstall anything. As with most Squarespace customisations, you will need a plan that supports custom code.
