Overview

RSS Feed from Elfsight lets you display articles, blog posts and updates from RSS sources on a Squarespace page, bringing several sources together in one feed. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform, not native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's online editor, you can choose from six layouts: Grid, Masonry, List, Slider, Carousel and Collage. You can adjust columns, rows and the number of displayed elements, then choose which post details to show, such as the author, date, source icon, text and share button. The editor also offers popup viewing in Slider or Feed mode, and controls for colours and individual components.

Who it suits

This widget may suit site owners who want to bring posts from their own blog or other public RSS sources into one display on a Squarespace page. It offers layout and post-detail controls, along with options for filtering and moderation. A free plan is available to start with.

One honest caveat

Elfsight supports public RSS URLs only, so protected feeds need to be made publicly accessible. The feed shows post previews, with full details available in a popup or external view, rather than displaying full articles in the feed itself. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits; paid plans remove those. The widget stops showing if the Elfsight account lapses.

Installation

Build and customise the feed in Elfsight's online editor, then copy its embed code. In Squarespace, paste the code into a Code Block where you want the feed to appear. Later changes made in the Elfsight editor update automatically, without replacing the code.

The RSS Feed widget collects content from RSS sources into a single display on your Squarespace site. You can combine several RSS links, including blogs, news websites, podcasts and updates. Elfsight's editor lets you choose which sources to include and filter out posts containing specific words. The Squarespace vendor page also describes manual moderation for removing unwanted content.

Choose from six layouts: Grid, Masonry, List, Slider, Carousel and Collage. You can adjust the number of columns, rows and displayed elements. The layouts are described as responsive, and the editor shows changes as you customise the widget.

Post cards can show or hide details including the author's name and profile image, publication date, source icon, text and share button. The feed displays post previews with titles, excerpts, dates and optional images. Visitors can open posts in a popup, using either Slider navigation or a scrollable Feed, or follow an external link to the full content.

You can use a colour palette or set a primary colour and choose Light or Dark mode. The editor also lets you customise components such as the heading area, background and popup. Once installed, the widget is managed through Elfsight's platform rather than Squarespace's native editing tools. Changes made in the Elfsight editor update automatically on your page.
