Overview

Common Ninja's Telegram Conversation widget recreates a Telegram chat thread as live page content rather than a screenshot. You write the messages yourself, set names, profile pictures, timestamps and read receipts, and can have the bubbles appear one by one with a typing indicator. It can use Telegram's own patterned chat background. On a Squarespace site it is a fresh way to show testimonials, support exchanges or a booking process.

What you get

  • Custom Telegram threads with contact name, status text, profile picture, date dividers and any number of messages
  • Timestamps and sent, delivered or read status, per thread or per message
  • Reactions on individual messages
  • Clickable message bubbles that link to a page, product or booking form
  • Animated playback with typing indicator, replay and loop options
  • Single, slider, carousel and grid layouts
  • Light and dark themes, device frames, Telegram's patterned background, solid colours or your own image
  • Toggles for the status bar, times, receipts, title and replay button, plus custom CSS

Who it suits

Coaches, consultants, service businesses, agencies and app makers who want to show how a conversation with them actually goes, or turn customer feedback into something more readable than a quote block. Best where your audience already uses Telegram.

Honest limits

  • The conversations are written by you, so present them honestly: if you show customer messages, base them on real exchanges and get permission where needed.
  • It is an externally hosted embed, so it loads from Common Ninja's servers rather than from Squarespace.
  • The free plan has monthly view limits; once a busy page passes the cap the widget can stop showing until you upgrade or the month resets.
  • You need a Squarespace plan that lets you add code blocks.

How it is delivered

Sign up for a free Common Ninja account, build the widget in their visual editor, then copy the embed code from the Add to Website tab and paste it into a Squarespace code block. There is nothing to install on Squarespace itself and no files to download. The free plan is ongoing; paid Common Ninja plans are billed by Common Ninja and raise view limits and unlock extra features.

FAQs

FAQs

What does the Telegram Conversation widget do?
It displays a Telegram-style chat thread on your page as real content, with messages, names, profile pictures, timestamps, reactions and optional animated playback.
How do I add it to Squarespace?
Build it in Common Ninja's editor, then paste one line of embed code into a Squarespace code block. Later edits in the Common Ninja dashboard update on your site automatically.
Is it free?
There is a free plan with monthly view limits. Paid tiers raise the view limits and unlock extra features, so check Common Ninja's pricing page before using it on a busy page.
Why not just use a screenshot?
The text stays sharp at any size, you can edit any line later without remaking an image, and message bubbles can link to other pages.
Can I show several conversations?
Yes. Threads can be shown one at a time or in a carousel or grid, with control over how long each stays on screen.
Can I change the background?
Yes. Choose Telegram's patterned background, a solid colour or your own image, in light or dark themes with optional device frames.
