Studio Ember is a Squarespace 7.1 template by The Creative Motif, sold through the SquareKicker template store, built for interior designers and home staging studios that lead with mood. The demo is a home staging and interior design studio: a full-bleed hero, a curated-spaces introduction, a recent projects strip, a design-and-philosophy block, a meet-the-founder section and a contact prompt, with Services, Projects, Blog, About and Contact pages and an FAQ anchored on the contact page. The old listing had the audience right; it undercounted the pages and left out the blog. What you get
Six page layouts: Home, Services, Projects (portfolio), Blog, About and Contact, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
Twenty-seven SquareKicker sections including hero, portfolio, services, people, reviews, information, gallery, FAQ, contact and footer
A projects page for before-and-after work and a services page laid out for design, staging and consultancy
A brown, black, grey and neutral palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor
SquareKicker animations: fixed scrolling, sticky sections, horizontal scrolling and sticky split layouts
A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial
Who it suitsInterior designers, home stagers, small architecture and interiors studios, and property stylists who have strong photography and want a moody, editorial look rather than a bright one. The blog is there for the search traffic an interiors practice depends on, and the projects page is the case study format estate agents and developers ask to see.Honest limitsThe design lives or dies on photography: without a proper portfolio of finished rooms it will look empty. There is no shop, so a studio that also sells homewares adds Squarespace commerce. Individual project pages are built by duplicating the Projects layout rather than from a portfolio collection, which is fine at ten projects and tedious at fifty. There is no scheduling for consultations; embed Acuity or Calendly. The sticky and horizontal scrolling effects are SquareKicker features that stay in place after the 30-day trial but need a subscription to keep editing. How it is deliveredSquareKicker templates install through the SquareKicker Template Engine onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site: connect the free SquareKicker extension, pick the template and it installs in a few clicks, with the choice of keeping your existing site styles or replacing them with the template's. There is no duplicate site to copy from. The purchase is one-off and includes a 30-day SquareKicker extension trial; you need a Squarespace Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker template buyers get 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan.Related guide: compare it with the alternatives in our roundup of the best Squarespace templates for interior designers, or browse the Squarespace templates hub.
Figment is Studio Mesa's one-page Squarespace 7.1 template for nonprofits, foundations and small businesses with work to show. What you fund, the people you back, your published research, your team and an application form all share one scrolling page, and every section is a link in the menu. Every purchase includes an unlimited licence, instant delivery and lifetime email support.
Studio 510 is a dedicated Squarespace template for photographers, featuring a minimalist approach that highlights your work through versatile gallery layouts like grid and slideshow. With customizable pricing pages and integrated testimonials, it simplifies client communication, making it an efficient choice for creative studios looking to attract clients with a polished online presence.
Studio Aria is a two-page Squarespace 7.1 template by Rara Matter, sold through the SquareKicker template store as one of their Lite templates. The designer built it for designers, creatives and agencies: sticky colour blocks guide visitors through your work in a single scroll, and the demo is a creative director's portfolio with featured projects, an about section, services, testimonials and a contact form. What you get
Two pre-built page layouts: a portfolio page and a landing page
Eight featured sections: hero, featured work, about, services, testimonials, contact, social and footer
SquareKicker animations for smooth scrolling and a custom primary cursor, on top of the sticky colour block layout
Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine, so sections can be reordered or added in the normal editor
A one-off purchase with a 30-day SquareKicker extension trial included
Who it suitsFreelance designers, art directors, illustrators, small studios and consultants who want a striking single-scroll portfolio rather than a site with many pages. The demo navigation (Portfolio, Services, About, Contact) jumps between sections of the same scroll, which keeps the experience quick. Good for someone who has five or six strong projects and wants them to carry the site.Honest limitsIt is a Lite template with two layouts, so there is no blog, shop, individual project pages or team page; if your portfolio needs a case study per project you will design those pages yourself. The smooth scroll and cursor effects are SquareKicker settings, so changing them after the 30-day trial needs a SquareKicker subscription (the site keeps working without one). The bold colour blocks are the design, so a muted brand loses much of what you paid for. Needs a Squarespace 7.1 site on a Core or Business plan or higher. How it is deliveredIt installs through the SquareKicker Template Engine onto any Squarespace 7.1 site, new or existing, with no duplicate site or copy and paste. You choose the pages and sections, install them, then edit text and images in the Squarespace editor. It also works on a Squarespace free trial while you build.Related guide: see our roundup of the best Squarespace templates for consultants and studios, and our SquareKicker review for how the extension works.

Fernhouse features a serene layout ideal for cafés, studios, and lifestyle brands. With an emphasis on readability and clean design, this Squarespace 7.1 template showcases artwork and portfolios beautifully. Natural color palettes and soft typography enhance the atmosphere, making it a solid choice for artists and designers looking to highlight their work without overwhelming aesthetics.
Visionary Studio is a Squarespace 7.1 template sold through the SquareKicker template store and designed by Square Design. It is built for a graphic design or branding agency, and the demo is a studio that sells logos, rebranding, UI and UX and 2D and 3D motion: a bold We Are Visionary hero, a recent projects grid, a four-service list, a Let's Connect marquee, then Projects, Services and The Studio pages behind it. The typography is large and the layout is deliberately loud, with bracketed headings and arrow markers, so it reads as a studio with a point of view rather than a safe corporate site. What you get
Nine page layouts: Home, Projects, Nexora (a single case study page), Services, The Studio, Contact, Privacy Policy, Legal Terms and a styled 404
Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine, so sections are drag and drop in the standard editor
A Projects grid and a case study layout you duplicate for each client, plus a Services page with four expanded offers
23 saved sections (hero, projects, about, services, key visual, story, people, location, reassurance elements, gallery, legal, 404) to build new pages
SquareKicker effects built in: a desktop overlay menu, smooth scroll, a custom primary and link cursor, footer reveal, scroll effects, sticky sections and a sticky split
A green, black and white palette with oversized type, set in the style editor
Who it suitsGraphic designers, branding studios, motion designers and small web agencies with a handful of strong projects to show. It works for a freelancer with attitude as well as a team, because The Studio page is a story section followed by a people section you can trim to one.Honest limitsThe case study page is placeholder text and one layout, so a studio with twenty projects builds nineteen more pages by hand. There is no blog and no shop in the layout. The custom cursor, overlay menu and sticky split are SquareKicker Extension effects, so keep the subscription if you want to keep editing them after the 30-day trial. And the loud typography is the point: a studio that wants a quiet, gallery-white portfolio should look elsewhere. How it is deliveredSquareKicker templates install onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site the moment you buy, with a choice of Use Template Styles or Keep Existing Styles, so it can go onto a live site without wiping your fonts and colours. It is a one-off purchase for one site (a new licence per client project), no SquareKicker subscription is needed to keep using it, and a 30-day trial of the SquareKicker Extension and 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan are included. You need a Business or Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker does not refund digital products.Related guide: compare it with the alternatives in our Squarespace templates for agencies collection, or browse every template we list in the Squarespace templates hub.

Lens Studio is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Square Design, sold through the SquareKicker template store, built for photographers who want a clean portfolio with a little motion. The demo is a solo photographer: a live-the-moment hero, an about-me teaser, a your-world-seen-differently statement, testimonials, a contact-me prompt and an Instagram strip in the footer, with a Portfolio page of three projects (Summer Sun, Culinary Poetry, Little Farm), an About Me page with specialities (portraits, events, daily reports, corporate and editorial) and a travel-through-my-pictures gallery, a Project Example page with a you-might-like-these strip, Contact, a privacy policy and a 404. The old listing had the audience right but counted four pages instead of seven and missed the project page template. What you get
Seven page layouts: Home, Portfolio, About Me, Project Example, Contact, Privacy Policy and a 404, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
A Portfolio index and a Project Example page you duplicate for each shoot, with a related-projects strip at the bottom
An About Me page with a specialities list and a large gallery, and a Contact page with a form and your details
Sixteen featured sections (hero, about, portfolio, testimonial, contact, services, gallery, 404, legal, footer) to reuse on any page
SquareKicker animations: footer reveal, scroll effects, link cursor and sticky section, editable while the extension is active
A pale blue, red-orange and yellow palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor
A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial
Who it suitsPortrait, event, editorial and lifestyle photographers with a few strong projects to show and no need for a shop. It also suits a videographer or a visual artist who works project by project.Honest limitsProjects are hand-built pages, not a gallery collection, so each shoot means duplicating Project Example. There is no client gallery, proofing or print sales: use Pic-Time, Pixieset or Squarespace commerce for those. No blog, no pricing page and no booking in the demo; embed Acuity or Calendly if you sell sessions. The palette is bright and unusual for a photographer, so expect to restyle it. The animations are SquareKicker features that stay in place after the 30-day trial but need a subscription to keep editing. The purchase is one-off and includes a 30-day SquareKicker extension trial; you need a Squarespace Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker template buyers get 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan.Related guide: compare it with the other portfolio sites in our Squarespace templates for photographers collection, or browse the Squarespace templates hub.
Grounded State is a Squarespace 7.1 template from Emily Ames for nervous system coaches, counsellors, therapists, somatic practitioners and nutritional therapists who want a site with more weight than the usual soft wellness look. It is dark and editorial, with cream and warm gold accents and a serif and sans-serif pairing.
Eight core pages cover a practitioner business: home, about, services with an initial consultation, 1:1 and group programme, a corporate wellness page for speaking and workshops, testimonials, a favourites and affiliate page, a course sales page and contact. Demo copy is written for nervous system and wellness brands. $277.
Marigold is Studio Mesa's five page Squarespace 7.1 template for wedding photographers. Every purchase includes an unlimited licence, instant delivery and lifetime email support.
What it covers
Brand Evolution is a recorded workshop from Olga at Applet Studio, and the first thing to say is that it is not a Squarespace course. It is a class on producing brand visuals with AI tools, mostly ChatGPT, Midjourney and Canva, with Figma used for the logo and Instagram feed examples. Olga runs a Squarespace template shop and builds brands for coaches and service providers, and the workshop is her process for getting from an idea to a set of on-brand images you can use on a website and on social media.
The lessons cover brand strategy with ChatGPT (unpacking a brand's story and personality and drafting home page copy), moodboards and visual brainstorming, a visual strategy section where Olga creates two brands from an initial idea through to an Instagram feed and a home page mockup, image editing (transforming, extending and reformatting images), and prompt strategies for Midjourney and ChatGPT. A 2025 update added a lesson on custom AI photoshoots where you control facial features, outfits and setting. New students also get a set of stock images with the Midjourney prompts used to make them.
Who it is for
Web and graphic designers who want original imagery without commissioning a photographer or illustrator, marketing people who feed social channels, and business owners who are tired of stock photos. No design software knowledge is needed; Olga uses Figma but says Canva works fine.
Format and access
The workshop is about 90 minutes of video, watched at your own pace. There are two purchase options: the workshop alone, or the workshop plus access to Applet Studio's private Slack channel for questions. A separate one day branding session with the team is also offered. The purchase is non-refundable.
Where it falls short
Ninety minutes is short, and the AI tools it teaches change every few months, so treat the prompts as a starting point rather than a recipe. You will also need paid subscriptions to the AI tools on top of the workshop. In my own client work I find AI imagery still needs a careful eye: many clients notice when hands, text or products look off, and some industries (healthcare, finance, anything regulated) will not accept synthetic photos of people at all. Applet Studio was upfront when I read the page that this workshop had no testimonials of its own yet, which is honest, but it does mean you are relying on Olga's track record with her other courses.

Bare Bloom Studio is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Chase e-Design, built for nail salons, beauty studios and wellness practitioners who want a calm, minimal, premium feel. The designer's brief is intentional and quiet: soft typography, generous white space and a service menu that guides visitors towards booking an appointment.Who it suitsNail and brow studios, skincare and facial clinics, holistic and wellness practitioners, and solo beauty professionals who position on a considered, unhurried client experience rather than volume. It suits a business with good photography of its own work, because the gallery page does much of the persuading. One honest caveatThis is a booking-led beauty template, not a fitness one: there is no class schedule or membership area in the included pages, so a gym or yoga studio with a timetable will want a different template. Appointments are a link to your own booking tool (Squarespace Scheduling or similar) rather than a built-in system, and the minimal style falls flat with dark or cluttered photography. We rate it intermediate, with one to three hours of setup. What is includedSix pages: Home, About, Service Menu, Gallery, Journal (blog) and Contact, with a book-an-appointment call to action throughout. Sections include a hero, brand philosophy, service menu, gallery, journal summary and a contact form with location details. Chase e-Design install the demo into a fresh Squarespace 7.1 site and transfer it to you, and include a quick-start guide, tutorial videos, all stock assets used in the demo and basic troubleshooting support.
UniqueInk is a Squarespace 7.1 template sold through the SquareKicker template store and designed by Jen Maher. It is a one-page site for a tattoo studio, and the demo is exactly that: a grunge hero with a Kurt Cobain quote, a premier tattoo studio introduction, four artist cards that link out to each artist's Instagram gallery, a Located in the Heart of Midtown block with the studio address, and an FAQ accordion covering hourly pricing, age rules, deposits, children in the studio, online booking and aftercare. The look is distressed textures, purple and black, and edgy type; Jen Maher pitches it at tattoo studios, salons, musicians and artists who want to look like the alternative rock era, and I would keep it to businesses that genuinely trade on that. What you get
One page layout with anchored About, The Artists, Location and FAQs sections
Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine, so sections are drag and drop in the standard editor
Artist cards with an IG Gallery button each, so portfolios live on Instagram rather than in the site
An FAQ accordion built on the standard Squarespace accordion block, already written for a tattoo studio
Social links for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube in the footer
A purple, black, white and grey palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor
Who it suitsTattoo and piercing studios first, then barbers, alternative salons and small music venues that want a dark, loud one-pager. The FAQ is the useful bit: it answers the questions a studio gets by phone every day, and you edit the answers rather than write from scratch.Honest limitsThere is no booking and no contact form in the demo; enquiries go through the artists' Instagram links or the phone, so add a form block or a booking embed if you want them on the site. There is no gallery of work, no shop for merch or aftercare and no blog. It is one page, and the grunge styling will not translate to a fashion or beauty brand despite older listings saying so: this is a tattoo studio template. You need a Business or Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker does not refund digital products.Related guide: compare it with the alternatives in our Squarespace templates for small businesses collection, or browse every template we list in the Squarespace templates hub.
Sidecar is Studio Mesa's one page micro blog template for Squarespace 7.1, built for writers who want typography and uncluttered space to carry the reading experience. The 2026 rebuild adds dynamic blog filtering, smart pagination and a simple about panel that opens in place, while keeping the clean article layout the template is known for. Every purchase includes an unlimited licence, instant delivery and lifetime email support.
Lightbox Studio is BeyondSpace's replacement for the default Squarespace lightbox, and it is the most complete one I have used. Out of the box Squarespace gives you a single image on a dark background with two arrows. Lightbox Studio swaps that for a lightbox with pinch and scroll zoom, swipe gestures, thumbnails, a toolbar with slide counter and download button, captions, and support for video and PDF slides, and it applies itself across the whole site once installed rather than block by block.
What it includes
Zoom on desktop (mouse wheel) and mobile (pinch), touch gestures for swipe, drag-to-close and tap-to-toggle controls, a thumbnail strip, an optional toolbar with zoom buttons, slide indicator, download and clickthrough link, and lightbox indicator icons so visitors know an image will open. It works with grid galleries, slideshow blocks, slideshow and reel sections and auto layouts, on both 7.0 and 7.1. Dynamic galleries let you show one cover image and load a hidden gallery on click. Each slide gets its own URL, so you can link straight into an open gallery. Video galleries and PDF links (with open in new tab switched off) open in the same lightbox. A Classic layout option restores the plain Squarespace look if you want the gestures without the chrome.
Who it suits
Photographers, illustrators, architects, interior designers and product-led sites where zoom and detail matter. It is also worth it for any site with a lot of mixed media, because it gives images, video and PDFs one consistent viewer.
Trade-offs
Two honest caveats. It has a lot of settings, and getting the look right takes longer than a single-purpose lightbox; BeyondSpace sell narrower plugins if you only need video or PDF. And installation runs from their end via your site, so a fully private site has to be set to public or password-protected during install (you can lock it again afterwards).
How it installs
After purchase you receive step-by-step instructions by email and paste a snippet into Footer code injection, then activate the licence. Settings are generated in the Playground on BeyondSpace's page, or adjusted visually with their Ground Control dashboard app, which also offers a free trial that previews the plugin in your site editor before you buy. Code injection needs a Squarespace plan that allows it. BeyondSpace handle updates and bug fixes for the life of the product and include a year of breaking-change updates.

Who Aperture is built forAperture is a SquareKicker template by Vative Creative, built for photography studios and agencies that sell high-end work: portraiture, fashion, commercial, event and destination shoots. It is not a lightweight portfolio for a hobbyist. The demo positions the studio as a premium service with a process page, a help centre and policy pages, which tells you the intended buyer is a business with clients, contracts and cancellation terms. It runs on Squarespace 7.1 through the SquareKicker Template Engine and the demo footer credits "Designed by vative, built with SquareKicker".The pages and sections you getThe old listing said four pages. The live demo navigation shows far more: Home, About Us, Services, Portfolio with two project pages (Surreal Symphony and Neon Nights), Process, Blog, Help (an FAQ page with general and photoshoot question accordions), Contact, and Delivery, Privacy and Cancellation policy pages, plus a styled 404 and two "extra sections" pages that act as a parts bin. The store page counts 16 pre-built page layouts and 54 featured sections. The home page runs a full-screen hero, an introductory statement, a three-card services block (high-end portraiture, destination and travel, event and lifestyle in the demo), a portfolio teaser, a scrolling marquee, client reviews and a contact call to action. Services lists four categories with descriptions, and the Blog is a working Squarespace blog with categories. There is no shop and no booking block.Design and customisation notesAperture is dark, high-contrast and typographic, with a "//" prefix on navigation and button labels that gives it a code-editor flavour. SquareKicker supplies scroll effects, sticky blocks, layered sections, sticky split and horizontal scrolling without any code. Because it installs through the Template Engine you can put it on a new or an existing 7.1 site and either adopt its styles or keep your own, and the modular featured sections let you assemble new pages from existing parts. It is a one-off purchase with a 30-day SquareKicker extension trial included; the site needs a Squarespace Business plan or higher. One honest caveatThe whole design leans on large, dark, full-bleed imagery. If your photography is bright, pastel or documentary in tone the template will fight you, and swapping the palette to light mode undoes a lot of what makes it work. Also, the demo includes several extra sections pages and three policy pages that you should prune or rewrite before launch rather than leave as placeholders.Related guideIf you are still comparing options, start with my full Squarespace templates hub, where every template on SquareLocator is grouped by designer and audience, then narrow it down with the Squarespace templates for photographers collection.
Lila Yoga is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Tracy Nichole Creative, sold through the SquareKicker template store, built for yoga teachers, mindfulness instructors and wellness coaches who want a small one-page site. The demo is a solo teacher called Lila Santos: a find-your-flow hero, an about section, four class cards (Gentle Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Restorative Yoga, Private Sessions), a book-a-class band, two student testimonials and a footer with address, email and social links, plus a separate Book a Class page with an Acuity scheduler embed and a custom 404. The old listing had the audience right but listed a contact form and a Classes page that the demo does not have; classes are a section on the home page and contact is footer details. What you get
Three page layouts: a one-page Home with anchor navigation, a Book a Class page and a custom 404, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
Six featured sections: hero, people, services, contact, reviews and footer, which is the whole template
A Book a Class page set up for an Acuity Scheduling embed, with the home page buttons pointing to it
SquareKicker animations: footer reveal and scroll effects, editable while the extension is active
A cream, black, sage and soft terracotta palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor
A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial
Who it suitsSolo yoga teachers, meditation and breathwork instructors, pilates teachers and wellness coaches who teach a handful of classes and book through Acuity, Calendly or a studio app. It is a first website for a new teacher, or a landing page for an established one.Honest limitsIt is one page plus a booking page, so there is no blog, no separate about or contact page, no contact form and no newsletter sign-up in the demo. Booking depends on an Acuity account or another scheduler you embed; the template does not take payment. A studio with several teachers, a timetable or memberships will outgrow it fast. The two animation presets are SquareKicker features that stay in place after the 30-day trial but need a subscription to keep editing. Rowan Studio caters to wellness professionals with a layout that highlights class schedules and membership details. The warm color palette balances professionalism with a welcoming vibe, ideal for therapists and counselors. This Squarespace 7.1 template emphasizes readability and user-friendly navigation, making it easy to showcase services and client testimonials effectively.
What it covers
Squarespace Mastery 3.0 is Olga of Applet Studio's Web Design 101 course, and the point that separates it from most Squarespace tutorials is that it treats Squarespace as the implementation tool, not the design tool. Roughly the first half is about deciding what the site should be before you open the editor. More than 700 people have taken it since 2020, and the 3.0 version is a full rebuild for Fluid Engine.
The workshops cover Figma and essential design skills (preparing graphics, mockups, vector tools, masks and shadows), web design fundamentals (typography, layout, grids and composition), a vanilla theme build where you design and implement a black and white base theme in Squarespace with the Figma files and CSS snippets supplied, website copywriting and project stages with a content gathering guide, and a design practicum in which Olga takes two brands from mood board to Figma prototype to a finished Squarespace build. Bonuses include a development checklist, a sample creative brief, the studio's branding workshop as a Google Doc, extra Figma files and a homework assignment that Olga gives personal feedback on. A paid add-on at checkout covers home page structures for service, product and coaching businesses.
Who it is for
Aspiring designers, marketers and virtual assistants adding web design to their services, and business owners who can operate Squarespace but are unhappy with how their site looks. No drawing, illustration or coding skills are assumed.
Format and access
Over eight hours of video on Teachable with all resources available immediately: tutorials, Figma files, CSS and the homework. Self-paced; Olga says people either binge it over a weekend or spread it out. Purchases are non-refundable, and the designs remain Applet Studio's copyright, so you cannot resell the vanilla theme as a template.
Where it falls short
It is not a CSS course; you get snippets for common fixes and Applet Studio's CSS Mastery is the follow-on. The Figma emphasis is a strength if you plan to design for clients and a detour if you only want your own site done. And the practicum shows Olga's taste, which is clean and editorial; if your clients want something louder you will be adapting. Having built over 400 Squarespace sites, I think the planning before implementation lesson alone justifies a course at this level for a new designer.
