The Slide Arrow Button (#1) enhances navigation by providing customizable buttons that improve user engagement on Squarespace sites. This plugin allows users to easily adjust button styles and animations, ensuring a cohesive brand experience. With mobile responsiveness built in, it guarantees a seamless look and feel across all devices, inviting more interaction from visitors.
Will Myers' Countdown Timer adds a live countdown to an event or deadline on any Squarespace 7.1 page, with three preset styles, and it has one placement option I have not seen elsewhere: it can sit inside the Announcement Bar. That means a sale deadline or launch date follows the visitor to every page rather than living on one landing page, which for a short promotion is where a countdown does its work.
What it includes
Three style presets, more than twenty additional copy-and-paste style tweaks so you can move away from the presets without writing CSS from scratch, a walkthrough video, and copy-and-paste installation code. It is designed to be handed to a client, so once the code is in place changing the target date does not need a developer. It works on all Squarespace 7.1 sites and needs a Core (Business) plan or higher for code injection. Two licences: single site, or multi-use for unlimited sites and templates you sell.
Who it suits
Shops running time-limited sales, course creators with enrolment windows, event organisers, and anyone launching something on a date. The Announcement Bar option suits site-wide promotions; the in-page option suits a launch or event page.
Trade-offs
Two honest caveats. Will notes the plugin works by switching the colour theme class of a section, so it may not sit well with every piece of custom CSS already on your site; if you have a heavily styled site, test before you rely on it. And it is a countdown, not an automation: it does not hide a product, close a form or redirect when the clock reaches zero, so plan what the page shows after the deadline. Support is best-effort for 60 days and covers the plugin rather than custom styling.
How it installs
Watch the video, paste the code into code injection, set your target date and pick a preset. Adding the Announcement Bar version is a separate snippet documented in the instructions. Will maintains his plugins as Squarespace changes, so updates arrive without re-installation.

What Easy RSVP Form isEasy RSVP Form is a hosted event registration form from Common Ninja. You build it in their online editor, paste one embed snippet into a Squarespace page, and guest responses collect in the Common Ninja dashboard rather than in your inbox. The old listing on this page described a buttons, tabs and accordions plugin, which had nothing to do with this widget; the page is now written from the Common Ninja product page. What it doesThe form comes pre-tuned for events: name and email, attendance (yes, no or maybe), guest count, plus-one names, dietary preferences, song requests, accessibility needs and custom questions, all reorderable by drag and drop with required or optional flags and validation rules. For paid events such as workshops, ticketed dinners or fundraisers you can collect a payment in the same submission through the widget's payment integration. Notification emails go to the host when a response arrives, spam protection uses a honeypot field and optional CAPTCHA, and the whole guest list exports to CSV for seating plans and catering counts. Styling comes from pre-designed skins (wedding, corporate, dark mode and so on) with custom CSS if you want finer control, and edits in the editor push to every embed without re-pasting.Who it suitsAnyone running an event from a Squarespace site who needs more than the native form block: weddings, conferences, workshops, fundraisers, parties and webinars. It is especially useful when you need guest counts and dietary answers in one exportable list, or want to take a fee at the same time as the RSVP.One honest caveatResponses live on Common Ninja's servers, not in Squarespace, and the free plan is capped by views, so a popular event page can hit the limit and need a paid plan. Squarespace's own form block already handles a simple yes or no RSVP with an email notification, so this only earns its place when you need guest counts, payments or a clean CSV export. It is also a third party script on the page, with the small performance and privacy considerations that brings.SetupBuild the form in Common Ninja's editor (you can try it without signing up, then create a free account to publish), copy the embed snippet and paste it into a Code Block or Embed Block on the event page. Squarespace's Personal plan has historically restricted scripts in blocks, so check yours can run an embed. No licence to buy: the free plan covers limited views and paid plans lift the cap and remove branding.Related guideI cover the widgets I would actually put on a client site in my roundups of the best Squarespace plugins in 2026 and the best free Squarespace plugins, and the Squarespace plugins collection has every form and booking tool I list.

All-in-One Reviews from Elfsight gathers reviews from several platforms into one widget on a Squarespace page. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform rather than native Squarespace code. Elfsight lists dozens of supported sources including Google, Facebook, Yelp, Amazon, Airbnb, Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Etsy, directories such as BBB and Capterra, and the app stores, plus a Custom Source for typing in reviews from anywhere else. Each review shows the reviewer's name, photo, rating, text and source logo, under a header with your combined star rating, total count, per-platform tabs and a Write a review button. Squarespace has no native reviews block, so this is one of the simplest routes to real social proof.Key features
Google, Facebook, Yelp, Amazon, Airbnb, Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Etsy and many more
Several locations or accounts in one feed
Custom Source for reviews from unsupported platforms
Filters by rating, keyword and author, and hide star-only reviews
Six layouts, three card styles, light and dark schemes
Aggregate rating schema markup for rich results
Free plan with Elfsight branding and view limits
Who it suitsBusinesses whose reputation is spread across more than one platform: a restaurant with Google and Tripadvisor reviews, a holiday let on Airbnb and Booking.com, a shop on Etsy and Google. If all your reviews are on Google alone, Elfsight's single-source Google Reviews widget is simpler.Honest limitsThe filters let you show only positive reviews. Be careful with that: cherry-picking can breach consumer protection rules in the UK and elsewhere, and visitors can see the full picture on the source platform anyway. New reviews take up to about 72 hours to sync. The automatic review translation feature needs a Pro plan or higher. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits, and the reviews disappear if your account lapses.Installation on SquarespaceConnect your review sources in Elfsight's editor, choose a layout, copy the embed code and paste it into a Squarespace code block where the reviews should appear. Later edits in the editor update automatically.Related guide: see my review of which Elfsight widgets are worth it on Squarespace.
The Weather Widget by Common Ninja enhances your Squarespace site by integrating functional UI components like tabs, accordions, and buttons. The Team Member List Widget streamlines the inclusion of buttons, tabs, and accordions within Squarespace pages, enhancing user engagement. Common Ninja's Google Play Reviews widget pulls the real reviews and ratings your Android app has earned on Google Play and displays them on your Squarespace site. It is a hosted SaaS widget, not a Squarespace plugin: you design it in Common Ninja's editor, then paste one line of embed code into a code block. There is a free tier and paid plans, and the free plan covers one widget with a monthly view limit.
What it includes
Slider, grid, list and carousel layouts, a library of pre-built skins, and custom CSS for finer control. Every review is queued for manual approval so you decide what appears. You can set a minimum star rating, require or exclude keywords, and sort by newest, oldest, highest or lowest. The widget is responsive from narrow phone screens up, inherits its container width, and updates automatically: approve a new review in the dashboard and every embed changes without touching the code. It reads reviews only; it does not post, edit or generate anything on Google Play.
Who it suits
Anyone with an Android app and a Squarespace landing page: indie developers, studios, and businesses whose app is part of the offer. Reviews next to the download button are the single most useful bit of social proof an app page can carry, and this is the least effort way to get them there.
Trade-offs
Honest caveats: because it is hosted, the widget loads from Common Ninja's servers, which adds an external script to your page and means the reviews vanish if you stop paying or the service is down. The free plan has a view cap and Common Ninja branding, so a busy page will need a paid plan. And it displays only Google Play reviews; if you also need App Store, Google Business or Trustpilot reviews, Common Ninja's All in One Reviews widget covers several sources in one embed.
How it installs
Create a free Common Ninja account, open the Google Play Reviews editor, connect your app's reviews, approve and style them, then copy the embed snippet. In Squarespace, add a code block to the page and paste the snippet. It works on any Squarespace plan because code blocks do not need code injection. Squarespace's own AJAX page loading can occasionally stop embeds initialising; Common Ninja's support has a fix if that happens.

What Kester isKester is one of Squarespace's own free 7.1 templates, built on Fluid Engine and styled as the portfolio of an independent designer and illustrator. The demo site is called Ida Kester: black, white and grey with a red accent, big bold headlines and a set of playful project titles (Gary Gators Locksmith, Tex Mex T-Rex, Comfort Wants You Dead) that tell you this is a creative's site, not a corporate one. The old listing on this page sold Kester as a template for technology companies with product documentation and support pages; it is nothing of the sort. There is no documentation, no product pages for software and no support centre in the demo. It is a five page creative portfolio with a small merch shop attached. What it doesThe pages in the demo are Home, Work, Shop, Blog and Contact. Work is a Squarespace portfolio collection with six sample projects, each opening as its own case study page, which is the right structure for a designer who wants to show process rather than a single grid of thumbnails. Shop is a standard Squarespace store page with two sample t-shirts, so you inherit real product pages and a working cart for merch or prints. Blog is a standard blog with two placeholder posts, and Contact is a form page. Home ties it together with a bold introduction and links into the work. Every section is drag and drop in Fluid Engine, and the high-contrast palette lives in Site Styles, so it softens with a settings change if red and black is too loud.Who it suitsGraphic designers, illustrators, art directors, animators and small studios who want a portfolio with case study pages, a blog for process posts and a place to sell a few products. It is a good fit for freelancers with a strong visual identity and a sense of humour. It is not a template for a tech startup, a SaaS product or a documentation site: for those, look at a template built around feature pages and long-form text. One honest caveatKester gives you a bold skeleton and a lot of personality, and both cut both ways. The layout depends on confident work and short, punchy copy; a cautious portfolio with long descriptions will fight the design. The Shop page only becomes useful on a Business plan or higher, since Personal does not include commerce, and the demo has no About or Services page, so you will add those yourself. As with every free Squarespace template, every image and line of copy is a placeholder.SetupKester is free and included with every Squarespace plan, including Personal, though you need Business or above to take payments in the Shop. You choose it when you start a new site, or preview the demo and click to start from it. There is no licence to buy and nothing to install. Squarespace 7.1 does not let you switch templates on an existing site, so if you already have a 7.1 site you would start a fresh trial from Kester and move your content across. Plan for one to three hours to replace the demo content across the five pages, plus time for each case study you add to Work.Related guideBrowse the templates for designers and templates for artists collections to compare Kester with paid designer templates, or see the full Squarespace templates list.
