What Easy & Secure Donation Form (Common Ninja) isEasy & Secure Donation Form is Common Ninja's fundraising form widget, a hosted form you build in Common Ninja's editor and embed on a Squarespace page. The old copy here described buttons, tabs and accordions, a different product. What it doesThe vendor page lists suggested giving tiers plus a custom amount, donor name and email, dedication or in-memory-of notes, a mailing address for receipts, and custom questions. Payment is collected inline through Stripe or PayPal, and a donor can make repeat or recurring gifts without re-entering details. File upload takes pledge paperwork, notification emails fire on each gift, and the donor list exports to CSV for receipts and bookkeeping.Who it suitsCharities, churches, schools and PTAs, community groups and campaigns on Squarespace that want to take donations on their own domain without a paid fundraising platform. One honest caveatSquarespace's own Donation Block is a Commerce feature on Core plans and above, so this fills a real gap for smaller organisations. But payment collection sits in Common Ninja's paid tiers, so the free plan gets you the form without the charge. Donor records live in Common Ninja's dashboard on a third party script, and there is no Gift Aid handling for UK charities.Setup and pricingBuild the form in Common Ninja's editor and paste the embed code into a Squarespace code block (Core, formerly Business, plan or higher). Common Ninja is recurring software: the free plan covers one donation form with no time limit, and paid tiers add forms, submission volume, premium skins and the advanced features noted above.Related guideRead my roundup of the best Squarespace plugins in 2026 or browse the plugins collection.

What Gradient Background Sections (Will's Toolkit) isThis is a code snippet from Will Myers' Code Catalog inside Will's Toolkit, not a standalone plugin. It applies a CSS gradient to the background of a Squarespace 7.1 page section, so a section can fade from one brand colour to another instead of sitting on a flat fill or a background image. The vendor page says plainly that it is available exclusively to paid subscribers, and you sign in to copy the code. The old listing here described a customisation interface with colour, font and layout controls, which this is not; it is a snippet you paste and edit. What it doesSquarespace's section editor offers solid colours from your palette or an image or video background, but no gradient option. This snippet adds one. You target a section by its data-section-id, choose the colours and direction in the CSS, and the gradient renders as the section background behind your existing blocks. It is tagged under Backgrounds in the catalog and was last updated on 1 May 2025 according to the vendor page. Because it is CSS rather than a hosted widget, nothing loads from a third-party server and there is no measurable effect on page speed. Who it suitsExisting Will's Toolkit members who want a softer hero or call-to-action section without exporting a gradient image from Figma every time the palette changes. It is a good fit for brand-led sites, launch pages and portfolios where a flat colour block feels heavy. If you are not a member, joining for one gradient snippet does not make sense; a designer comfortable with CSS can write a linear-gradient rule in a few lines. The membership is worth it if you will use the Toolkit extension, Robo-Will and the wider catalogue. One honest caveatYou are paying for a subscription, not a plugin. The code stays on your site if you cancel, but you lose access to updates, the catalogue and support. Gradients are set in CSS, so the colours will not follow your Squarespace colour palette automatically if you change themes later, and you will need to edit the snippet by hand. As with any custom CSS, a Squarespace update to section markup could require a tweak. SetupLog in to Will's Toolkit, open the snippet in the Code Catalog and add it through the Toolkit extension or paste it into Design, then Custom CSS. Find the section ID with the Squarespace ID Finder extension or the Toolkit extension, swap in your colours, and check the result on mobile. Custom CSS works on all Squarespace 7.1 plans, and the snippet is written for 7.1. Membership is billed as a subscription and covers the Toolkit extension, every Code Catalog snippet, a personal snippet library, a Slack community and priority support.
