Some images are simply too tall for a web page: a full-length website mockup, a long infographic, a restaurant menu scanned as one image, a comic strip. Drop one into a Squarespace image block and it either dominates the page or gets shrunk until nothing is legible. Squarespace Scrolling Images Plugin Pro from The Square Genius puts a tall image inside a container of fixed height that the visitor scrolls within, so the image stays large and the page stays tidy. It is a CSS plugin used together with a Code Block, with adjustable container heights, custom scrollbar styling and padding options. The Square Genius state it is compatible with Squarespace 7.1, and their FAQ also mentions 7.0.Who it suitsWeb designers showing full-page mockups in a portfolio, photographers with panoramic or long-format work, illustrators, and businesses presenting infographics or long documents as images. If you have ever wished a visitor could scroll a screenshot instead of squinting at it, this is the fix.One honest caveatIt handles vertical scrolling only; there is no horizontal mode in this version. A scrolling box inside a scrolling page can also feel odd on touchscreens, where the visitor may not realise the image moves independently, so keep the container height sensible and test on a phone before publishing.InstallationPaste the supplied CSS into Custom CSS and add the image using a Code Block following the included instructions. Custom CSS is available on all Squarespace plans, but check your plan supports Code Blocks before buying.Related guide: see our roundup of the best Squarespace plugins in 2026 for how this compares with the alternatives.
A minimal, photo-light Squarespace 7.1 template for therapists who do not have a large image library. The Eucalyptus uses structural lines and colour-matched botanical illustrations to carry the design, so two portraits and a few texture images are all you need for a complete site. Includes a therapist-specific writing guide, launch checklists and an SEO setup kit.
ÇIMEN offers photographers a clean, image-centric layout that prioritizes visual storytelling. With its minimal design across Squarespace 7.1, this template provides versatile gallery options and readable typography, allowing photographers to showcase their work effectively. It’s an ideal foundation for anyone looking for a straightforward, yet sophisticated, photography website.
Wedding Celebrant is a Squarespace 7.1 template sold through the SquareKicker template store and designed by Ina at Pink Fig Creative. It is built for a wedding celebrant or officiant working alone, and the demo is a modern celebrant called Sharon: a hero promising heartfelt ceremonies, a meet-your-celebrant introduction, a what-I-offer list (personalised ceremonies, vows and readings help, legal paperwork, travel), a Love Words testimonial band, an FAQ accordion, two ceremony packages, a lead magnet opt-in and a gallery of real ceremonies. Pink Fig say it also suits coaches, consultants, copywriters and freelancers, and the structure does travel, but the copy is celebrant through and through. What you get
Eight page layouts: Home, Packages, Gallery, About, Contact, Instagram (a link-in-bio page), Terms and Conditions and a styled 404
Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine, so sections are drag and drop in the standard editor
A Packages page with two clear tiers, Basic and Pro, each with a who-it-is-for line and a not-sure prompt
A freebie opt-in section for a lead magnet and a newsletter block, both standard Squarespace blocks
Eleven saved sections (hero, people, services, reviews, FAQ, freebie, gallery, contact, footer) to build extra pages
SquareKicker scroll effects and magnetic motion on buttons, with a brown, neutral, white and blue palette set in the style editor
Who it suitsCelebrants, officiants and humanist ministers who sell a small number of packages and win work on personality. The link-in-bio page is a nice touch for a business that lives on Instagram. It would also work for a solo coach or consultant with two packages, once the ceremony language is rewritten.Honest limitsBooking is an enquiry form, not a calendar; if you want couples to check availability you embed Acuity or similar. There is no blog, which matters if you plan to rank for local celebrant searches, though Squarespace lets you add one. The demo still carries lorem ipsum in the About page, so expect to write every paragraph. It is a single-person template: a team of celebrants would need to rework the Meet Your Celebrant framing. And at eight pages it is smaller than the SquareKicker average, so you are paying for the design rather than volume. How it is deliveredSquareKicker templates install onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site the moment you buy, with a choice of Use Template Styles or Keep Existing Styles, so it can go onto a live site without wiping your fonts and colours. It is a one-off purchase for one site (a new licence per client project), no SquareKicker subscription is needed to keep using it, and a 30-day trial of the SquareKicker Extension and 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan are included. You need a Business or Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker does not refund digital products.Related guide: compare it with the alternatives in our roundup of the best Squarespace templates for wedding professionals, or browse every template we list in the Squarespace templates hub.

With integrated contact forms, this Squarespace 7.1 template streamlines user interaction. It’s ideal for those looking to create a focused real estate site without starting from scratch, ensuring you spend more time showcasing properties than designing.
Digital Daisy presents a structured layout crafted for technology businesses, featuring dedicated sections for product displays, user manuals, and support resources. A solid choice for tech startups and established firms alike.
What it covers
Full Build: From Mockup to Squarespace is a single 50 minute workshop from Chris Schwartz-Edmisten in which he takes the mockup shown on the workshop page and builds it in Squarespace 7.1, start to finish. It is the closest thing to sitting behind a working designer for an hour.
Chris starts with what he looks for in a mockup to plan the build, then sets up colours and fonts, including adding a custom script font with CSS, works through a few techniques for the custom parts of the design (overlapping blocks in particular) and finishes by making the whole build mobile responsive. The workshop comes with the style guide, the mockup and all the image and font assets so you can build alongside him rather than just watch.
Who it is for
Chris's own test is a good one: if you were handed this mockup, are you confident you could reproduce it quickly and make it responsive? If you hesitate, this is for you. It is marked beginner friendly and uses minimal CSS, and Chris says someone who had never used Squarespace followed it and built the design, though he does not stop to explain the interface.
Format and access
One pre-recorded video with downloadable assets, hosted on Chris's site. A one time purchase gives lifetime access; it is also free to members of his Pro membership. No refunds, though Chris asks unhappy buyers to email him and says he will try to make things right.
Where it falls short
It is one build of one design. You learn Chris's process and a handful of techniques, not a general method for any mockup, and a script font plus overlapping blocks is a fairly specific aesthetic. There is no CSS teaching beyond the custom font step, so if your mockups regularly need code, his Custom Layouts course or CSS workshops are the better spend. For the price of a takeaway it is a fair trade, but go in expecting a demonstration rather than a curriculum.

Horizon offers tailored product displays and lookbook layouts for fashion and beauty brands using Squarespace 7.1. Its focus on readability and hierarchy allows for easy customization of typography, ensuring that your brand's imagery and offerings shine. This template is ideal for those looking to create a professional online presence without extensive manual setup.
Pink Coach is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Ina of Pink Fig Creative, sold through the SquareKicker template store, built for solo coaches, consultants and freelancers who want a one-page site. The demo is a life and business coach for women entrepreneurs: a transform-your-life-and-business hero, a hello introduction, three ways to work with me (mindset, goal-getter coaching, work-life balance), a meet-your-coach section, testimonials, a quote, a let's-connect contact form and a free-tips lead magnet, with a Contact page, an Instagram link-in-bio page and a Terms and Conditions page. The old listing had the audience right but framed it for marketing and advertising professionals, which is not the demo; it is a coaching one-pager with a bio-link page. What you get
A one-page home layout plus Contact, an Instagram link-in-bio page and Terms and Conditions, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
Sections for three services, an about-the-coach block, testimonials, a lead-magnet sign-up and a contact form
An Instagram gallery block in the footer that connects to your account
A hot pink, lilac, blush and off-white palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor
SquareKicker styling and animation settings, editable while the extension is active
A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial
Who it suitsLife, mindset and business coaches, consultants, copywriters and freelancers at the start of their business who want one page, a bio link and a lead magnet. The pink is the brand, so it suits anyone happy with that or willing to recolour in the style editor.Honest limitsOne page means no services pages, no blog and no about page; the demo copy tells you to add a page per service when you are ready. Booking a session goes through the contact form unless you embed Acuity or Calendly. The lead-magnet form needs an email storage destination. The vendor's detail page for this template currently returns a server error, so the page-layout and animation counts above are taken from the store index and the live demo rather than the product page. Any animations are SquareKicker features that stay in place after the 30-day trial but need a subscription to keep editing. How it is deliveredSquareKicker templates install through the SquareKicker Template Engine onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site: connect the free SquareKicker extension, pick the template and it installs in a few clicks, with the choice of keeping your existing site styles or replacing them with the template's. There is no duplicate site to copy from. The purchase is one-off and includes a 30-day SquareKicker extension trial; you need a Squarespace Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker template buyers get 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan.Related guide: compare it with the other coaching designs in our Squarespace templates for coaches collection, or browse the Squarespace templates hub.
Squarespace pushes everything onto a new page: the form, the size chart, the team bio, the product details. Lightbox Anything keeps visitors where they are by opening that content in a popup instead. Any link or button becomes a trigger via a simple hash URL (set the link to #lightbox_contact, for example), and the lightbox can pull in entire pages, specific sections or blocks, external websites, or videos and images by URL. Related items can be grouped into a swipeable slider, styling runs through a built-in style and code generator with no coding required, and support comes directly from the developer. $49 as a one-off for a single site, with a $249 agency licence covering unlimited client sites.See what else made our roundup of the best Squarespace plugins in 2026.Related guide: Best Squarespace gallery and lightbox plugins in 2026.
Live Chat from Elfsight (listed on their own site as All-in-One Chat) adds a floating chat button to a Squarespace site that connects visitors to the messaging apps you already answer: WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Viber and others. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform rather than native Squarespace code. You build it in Elfsight's online editor, choose which channels to show, set the greeting and styling, then paste one embed code into your site. When a visitor picks a channel, the conversation carries on inside that app, so there is no separate inbox to learn and you reply from your phone as usual.Who it suitsSmall businesses, service providers and shops that already handle enquiries through WhatsApp or Messenger and want that route visible on the website. It also suits anyone who wants a chat option without paying for a full helpdesk platform, since Elfsight offers a free plan to start with. One honest caveatThis is a launcher, not a hosted live chat. Elfsight does not run the conversation or store messages; each channel needs your phone number or account name, and a visitor without the app installed sees a notice rather than a chat window. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and view limits, and because the widget loads from Elfsight's servers it stops working if your subscription lapses.InstallationNo coding is needed. Configure the widget in Elfsight's editor, copy the embed code and paste it into a Squarespace code block or code injection. Changes made in the editor appear on your site automatically.Related guide: see our roundup of the best live chat plugins for Squarespace for how this compares with the alternatives.
Mind is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Vative Creative, sold through the SquareKicker template store, built for technology and product brands that need a showcase site rather than a shop. The demo is a fictional AI audio company: an intelligent-audio hero, three product teasers, an enter-our-mind section, vision, mission and AI statements, a MindFlow blog strip and a newsletter footer, with three product pages (Mastermind headphones, Mindreader buds, Mindset VR) built as long feature stories, About, Blog, a Contact page with live-chat, phone and FAQ accordions, a Find A Store page listing retail partners and support, a privacy policy and a 404. The old listing had the audience right but listed a single Products page and no store locator; the real structure is three product pages plus Find A Store. What you get
Ten page layouts: Home, About, three product pages, Blog, Contact, Find A Store, Privacy Policy and a 404, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
Product pages laid out as feature stories with specification lists, design highlights and pricing sections
A Contact page with support options, FAQ accordions and a form, and a Find A Store page for retail partners
Forty-seven featured sections (hero, products, showcase, pricing, transition, gallery, people, faq, legal) to reuse on any page
SquareKicker animations: sticky block, scroll effects, layer, fixed scrolling and sticky section, editable while the extension is active
A black, white, red-orange and grey palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor
A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial
Who it suitsHardware and consumer electronics brands, software and app companies, startups with one to three products to explain in depth, and agencies building a product launch site. The modular sections also suit a B2B services firm that wants a product-style presentation.Honest limitsThere is no checkout: the pricing sections are layouts, so to sell you add Squarespace commerce on a plan that supports it, or link to a retailer. The live chat on the Contact page is a layout prompt, not a chat widget. Find A Store is a static list, not a map-driven locator. The demo copy is dense and product-specific, so plan a full rewrite. The animations are SquareKicker features that stay in place after the 30-day trial but need a subscription to keep editing. The Web Designer's Playbook is Christy Price's self-paced course on running custom Squarespace website projects from discovery call to launch. It is built for designers in their first few years of business, people taking a side hustle full time, and designers on other platforms adding Squarespace to their services.
Twelve modules cover discovery calls, proposals, the strategy call, two approaches to collecting website content, keeping clients on track during content gathering, the build, the launch, defining what you offer (with timelines and pricing), pitching, first contact with prospects, and running the business day to day.
The templates and swipe files are the core of it: an Asana project template (importable into Notion or similar), a discovery call questionnaire, a proposal template, Google Docs for the project timeline and content collection, a Content Snare template, a client feedback questionnaire and 20+ email templates covering every phase of a project.
Lifetime access including future updates. Around 90% of the content applies to any freelance web designer; the remaining 10% is Squarespace specific. Most students finish in four to eight weeks. Non-refundable, as all materials are available immediately on purchase.

Rose House is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Nikki Butler of Lit Path Co., sold through the SquareKicker template store, built for short-term rental hosts who want a direct-booking site for one property rather than an Airbnb listing. The demo is a cottage in a coastal town: a welcome hero, a rooted-in-warmth story, an our-property teaser, an explore-the-area strip, a newsletter block, a book-a-stay prompt, guest reviews and a questions section, with About, Our Property (amenities), Area Highlights, Book Now (a date-request form with house rules), Contact, Privacy Policy and 404 pages. The old listing described a multi-property real estate site with a Properties page and booking tools, which is wrong: this is a single-property holiday let with a request form, not a booking engine. What you get
Eight page layouts: Home, About, Our Property, Area Highlights, Book Now, Contact, Privacy Policy and 404, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
A Book Now page with a date-request form and a house-rules section, written for direct bookings that skip platform fees
An Our Property page with an amenities list and gallery, and an Area Highlights guide for local recommendations
Guest reviews, a newsletter block, an FAQ and a thank-you layout
A peach, blush, burgundy and white palette with soft typography, changeable in the Squarespace style editor
A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial
Who it suitsOwners of a single holiday cottage, guesthouse, cabin or boutique stay who want a direct-booking presence with a story, an area guide and a request form. It also suits a bed and breakfast or a small farm stay with new photography. It is not built for an agent with a portfolio of listings.Honest limitsBooking is a form, not a calendar: there is no availability checking or payment. To take real bookings you embed a channel manager widget (Lodgify, Hospitable, OwnerRez) or link out to your platform listing. There is no multi-property structure; a second property means duplicating pages. The vendor page lists no SquareKicker animations for this template, so it is a plainer build than most in the store, which also makes it easy to maintain. The newsletter block needs a storage destination in Squarespace before it works. The purchase is one-off and includes a 30-day SquareKicker extension trial; you need a Squarespace Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker template buyers get 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan.Related guide: compare it with the other property designs in our Squarespace templates for real estate agents collection, or browse the Squarespace templates hub.
Background images and videos on Squarespace page sections carry a frustrating limitation: there is nowhere to say what they are. No photographer credit, no location, no context, which matters legally when image licences require attribution and editorially when the image deserves explanation. Will Myers' Background Image Captions fixes it, displaying captions on your section background images and videos with a range of styles to choose from, so the caption sits in the design rather than fighting it. Installation is copy-and-paste with a video, the plugin is automatically maintained as Squarespace changes, and it costs $25 single site or $60 multi-use covering unlimited websites and templates for sale.
Overdue is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Jen Maher Consulting, sold through the SquareKicker template store, built for solo virtual assistants who want a single landing page. The demo is a VA called Barb: a too-many-tasks-not-enough-time hero, a running-a-business-is-hard-work section, a how-it-works sequence, a tasks-I-can-help-with list, three packages (quick help by the hour, VA Lite monthly, Priority VA custom), testimonials, a let's-work-together contact form and a subscribe block. The old listing had the audience right but described a four-page site with About, Services and Contact pages, which does not exist: this is one page with nine sections, and the vendor says to add pages as you grow. What you get
One page layout with nine sections: hero, gallery, services, how it works, packages, reviews, contact, newsletter and footer, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
A three-tier packages section with a price and a what-is-included list per tier
A task list, a testimonials block and a contact form on the same scroll
A white, light grey, black and magenta palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor
SquareKicker scroll effects and a sticky split, editable while the extension is active
A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial
Who it suitsFreelance virtual assistants, online business managers, bookkeepers and other solo admin-support providers who want to be findable and contactable in an afternoon. With the copy changed it works for any one-person service that sells packages: a social media manager, a proofreader, a tech support freelancer.Honest limitsIt is one page. There is no About, Services or Contact page (despite the old listing), no blog and no scheduling; embed Acuity or Calendly under the packages if you want calls booked. Packages show prices but do not take payment without commerce or a payment link. The subscribe block needs a storage destination. The scroll effects and sticky split are SquareKicker features that stay in place after the 30-day trial but need a subscription to keep editing. Madeline is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Olíve Skye Creative, sold through the SquareKicker template store, built for interior designers, architects and creative studios. The demo is a Miami interior design studio: a purpose-and-care statement hero, a custom-approach section, a featured-projects grid, a get-to-know-the-founder block and a partner-with-us footer with newsletter sign-up, with a six-project Projects page, a Services page (discovery, design development, project management, installation and styling, plus interior design, project management and home staging offers, testimonials and FAQ accordions), an About page with a three-person team and studio values, a Gallery page, a Featured press page, an Inquire page with a project enquiry form, an Individual Project template page and a Testimonials page. The old listing had the audience right but counted four pages and missed the services process, press, gallery and enquiry form. What you get
Nine page layouts: Home, Projects, Services, About, Gallery, Featured, Inquire, Individual Project and Testimonials, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
A Services page with a four-step process, three service offers, testimonials and FAQ accordions, and an Individual Project page you duplicate per job
A Featured page for press logos and features, a lightbox Gallery page and a project enquiry form on Inquire
Thirty-four featured sections (hero, intro, backgrounds, portfolio, services, reviews, faq, about, gallery, contact) to reuse on any page
SquareKicker animations: desktop overlay menu, smooth scroll, scroll effects, sticky block, magnetic motion, fixed scrolling, section slider, sticky section, anchor links and sticky split, editable while the extension is active
A cream, navy, slate blue and grey palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor
A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial
Who it suitsInterior designers, architecture practices, home stagers and design studios with a body of finished projects, press to show and a process to explain. The restrained type and long-scroll layouts also suit a landscape designer or a high-end builder.Honest limitsProjects are hand-built pages rather than a filterable portfolio collection, so each new job means duplicating the Individual Project page. There is no blog in the demo and no shop. The enquiry form emails you; there is no scheduling without embedding Acuity or Calendly. This template leans on ten SquareKicker animation presets, more than most, so the feel depends on the extension: the effects stay in place after the 30-day trial but need a subscription to keep editing, and it is worth checking them on a mid-range phone.
