The Free Poll Maker Widget enhances user interaction on your Squarespace site by allowing you to easily add buttons, tabs, and accordions. This plugin supports consistent styling with your theme, enabling a cohesive design. Streamline your site’s UI without relying on complex workarounds, providing a better experience for both site owners and visitors.
Online Petition Builder is Common Ninja's Petition Form widget: a signature-collection form you embed on a Squarespace page instead of sending supporters to a third-party petition site. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Common Ninja's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In their editor you choose the fields signers fill in (name and email at minimum, optionally address, comments and a hand-drawn signature pad that works with a mouse or finger), add a headline, explanation, images or video, pick a design skin or add custom CSS, and set up email notifications so you know when new signatures arrive. Submissions are saved to your Common Ninja dashboard and can be exported to CSV for delivery to whoever the petition is aimed at.Who it suitsCampaign groups, residents' associations, charities, student bodies and anyone running a cause who wants to keep signer data on their own site rather than on a platform that shows adverts next to the petition. The free plan covers one petition form with no time limit. One honest caveatYou become the data controller for every signature, so you need a privacy notice and a plan for the exported list. The free plan limits signatures per month, and stricter integrity features (one signature per email, IP rate limiting), payment collection for donations and premium skins sit on paid plans. Basic honeypot and CAPTCHA protection is included, but expect some junk entries on a busy campaign.InstallationBuild the form in Common Ninja's editor, copy the embed snippet and paste it into a Squarespace code block on your campaign page. Edits made in the editor update on your site automatically.
Interactive Maps from Common Ninja is a colour-coded regional map, not a street map. It draws a country or the world as clickable regions (states, counties, provinces) and lets you colour each one by category, add a tooltip with an image and text, link a region to another page and show a legend. Common Ninja lists several hundred country and world maps to choose from. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Common Ninja's platform rather than native Squarespace code: you set it up in their editor, choose a design skin, adjust colours and fonts or add custom CSS, then paste one embed snippet into a Squarespace page.Who it suitsAnyone who needs to show where something applies rather than where something is: a service company listing the counties it covers, a distributor with regional territories, a charity showing project areas, a school with catchment zones, or a blogger presenting data by state. The free plan lets you build and publish one map with no time limit. One honest caveatIf what you actually want is pins on a Google map with addresses and directions, this is the wrong widget; Common Ninja's Google Maps Widget does that. This one is for shading regions. The free plan is limited to one widget with fewer features, and the map loads from Common Ninja's servers, so a lapsed paid plan drops it back to the free tier and switches premium features off.InstallationBuild the map in Common Ninja's editor, copy the embed snippet and paste it into a Squarespace code block. Edits made in the editor update on your site automatically.Related guide: for pin-based maps and locators, see how the alternatives compare in our best store locator plugins for Squarespace roundup.
What Form Builder (Common Ninja) isForm Builder is Common Ninja's general purpose form widget: a hosted, no-code form you assemble in their editor and embed on a Squarespace page with one line of code. The old copy here described buttons, tabs and accordions, a different product entirely. It is the advanced sibling of their Contact Form widget. What it doesThe vendor page lists text, dropdown, multi-select, checkbox, radio, date, time, number, currency, file and image upload, payment, signature and rating scale fields. Conditional logic shows or hides fields based on earlier answers, fields group into sections, and you can set a custom thank-you page or redirect. A payment field takes fees, deposits or donations inside the form. Submissions land in the Common Ninja dashboard, trigger email notifications and export to CSV.Who it suitsSquarespace sites that need surveys with branching, applications with uploads, intake forms with conditional questions or registrations that take payment. One honest caveatSquarespace's Form Block already stores submissions in your site for free, so for a plain enquiry form you do not need this. Choose it for the logic, uploads and payments, and accept that your data then lives in Common Ninja's dashboard on a third party script. Payment collection and HIPAA mode sit in the paid tiers.Setup and pricingBuild the form in Common Ninja's editor and paste the embed code into a Squarespace code block (Core, formerly Business, plan or higher). Common Ninja is recurring software: the free plan covers one form with no time limit, and paid tiers add forms, submission volume, premium skins and the advanced features noted above.Related guideRead my roundup of the best Squarespace plugins in 2026 or browse the plugins collection.
For those needing enhanced animation and scroll effects on their Squarespace site, the Charts & Graphs Widget by Common Ninja delivers precise control over scroll-triggered reveals and hover behavior. This tool minimizes the reliance on complex workarounds, allowing you to create polished interactions without leaving the familiar Squarespace interface.
What AliExpress Reviews Widget isAliExpress Reviews Widget is a hosted widget from Common Ninja that pulls the reviews from an AliExpress store and displays them on your own website as a carousel, grid or list. It is built in Common Ninja's online editor and dropped into a Squarespace page with a single embed code. The old listing on this page described a buttons, tabs and accordions plugin, which was simply wrong; this page is now written from the Common Ninja product page. What it doesYou connect the widget to your AliExpress store, choose one of three review types (carousel, grid or list), pick a layout and a pre-made skin, then adjust fonts, colours and spacing in a drag and drop editor without code. Filtering lets you show only reviews above a minimum star rating, include or exclude reviews by keyword, and switch on manual approval so nothing appears until you have checked it. Reviews can be sorted newest or oldest first, the widget is responsive, custom CSS is available for finer control, and because it is hosted, edits you make in the Common Ninja dashboard update on your site automatically.Who it suitsDropshipping and reseller stores that sell through AliExpress and want that social proof on a Squarespace site, and any seller whose AliExpress listings already have a healthy stack of reviews. If you do not sell on AliExpress, this widget has nothing to show; Common Ninja's Google Reviews and All in One Reviews widgets are the ones to look at instead. One honest caveatIt is a third party embed with a free tier capped by page views, so a busy store will hit the limit and need a paid Common Ninja plan. It also loads from Common Ninja's servers rather than living in your Squarespace site, which means an extra script on the page and a dependency on their service staying up. Reviews are imported from AliExpress, not collected from your own customers, so be clear with visitors about where they come from.SetupCreate the widget in Common Ninja's editor (no sign up is needed to try it, a free account to publish), copy the embed code and paste it into a Code Block or Embed Block on your Squarespace page. Squarespace's Personal plan has historically restricted scripts in blocks, so check your plan can run an embed before relying on it. There is no licence to buy: the free plan covers a limited number of views and paid plans lift the cap and remove branding.Related guideI keep the widgets and plugins I would actually recommend in my roundup of the best Squarespace plugins in 2026 and the best free Squarespace plugins, and you can compare every review and social proof tool I list in the Squarespace plugins collection.
Spotted is a free Squarespace 7.1 template built as a small online shop for a working artist. The demo is a watercolour painter selling prints, and the whole site is arranged around selling: the nav is just Shop, About and Contact, the homepage leads with a full-width hero, two featured series with Shop Now buttons, a Popular Prints product block and a newsletter sign-up, and the Shop page is a proper Squarespace store with category filters and product options for framing and mounting. It is one of the few free templates where commerce is the point rather than an afterthought, and I would put it alongside the other no-cost options in our free Squarespace templates collection before looking at anything paid.Who it suitsPainters, printmakers, illustrators and photographers who want to sell prints or originals directly, with a short About page to tell their story and a simple contact form. It also works for a small maker or ceramicist, since the layout is really a product catalogue with a personal introduction attached. One honest caveatThis is a starting layout, not a finished site. Three pages is a thin skeleton, there is no custom code, and the design leans on large, well-lit images of the work. If your product photography is weak, the homepage looks empty very quickly. You will also need a Squarespace commerce plan to actually take payments, which the free template does not change.Setting it upPick Spotted in Squarespace's template picker or start from the demo, then swap the demo prints for your own products, rewrite the About page and connect the newsletter form. Everything is built with Fluid Engine, so sections can be dragged, resized and duplicated without touching code. Plan an afternoon to replace the content and set up shipping, tax and payment settings.
Palmera is designed for photographers seeking a clean, minimal aesthetic. It features image-centric layouts on the homepage, integrated gallery options, and a typography style that prioritizes readability. This Squarespace 7.1 template offers a streamlined approach, ideal for showcasing visual work without clutter. Perfect for those needing a structured yet simple setup.
Lusaka is a free Squarespace 7.1 template, and the demo is not a course site or a school. It is a fictional education non-profit, The Lusaka Foundation, which supports teachers and students: three programme pages, a vision page, a team page, a blog and a Donate page with a donation block. If you run a charity, foundation or community organisation and need to explain your programmes and take donations, Lusaka's structure is a closer match than most of the other free templates.
What is included
Eight pages in the navigation: Materials for Learning, Education for Teachers and Support for Communities (grouped under a Projects folder), Our Vision, Our Team, Blog, Donate, plus the home page. Home introduces the mission, summarises the three programmes with Learn More links, carries a quote from a school principal, and closes with contact details. Donate uses Squarespace's native donation block with preset amounts and a custom amount field. Our Team is a people grid with portraits and short bios.
Who it suits
Charities, foundations, NGOs, community groups, school trusts and education initiatives. The programme, vision, team and donate pattern is what most small non-profits ask me for, and it is all here. It could also be adapted by a training organisation or a social enterprise with a small set of services.
Trade-offs
Two caveats. The demo body copy is almost entirely lorem ipsum, so this is a structure to fill rather than copy to edit. And the donation block needs a Squarespace plan that supports donations and a connected payment processor before it takes a penny; it is not switched on by default. The visual style is clean and neutral rather than distinctive, which is fine for a non-profit but means the photography has to carry the personality.
How it installs
Open the template on squarespace.com and start with the design. Squarespace creates a trial site with the demo pages in place. The template is free; you pay for a Squarespace plan when you publish, and you will want a plan that supports the donation block if you intend to use it. It runs on 7.1 with Fluid Engine.

Most Squarespace sites give visitors no way to adjust how a page reads. The Accessibility Widget from Common Ninja adds a floating accessibility menu that lets visitors change text size, spacing, contrast, colours, motion, images, and navigation settings to suit how they actually browse. Ready-made profiles cover common needs, preferences persist between visits, and the whole menu works by keyboard. You choose where it sits on desktop and mobile, and it installs on Squarespace 7.1 with a simple embed code.

Google Maps Widget from Common Ninja puts an interactive Google map with multiple pins on a Squarespace page. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Common Ninja's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In their editor you add locations by address, by business name (matched through Google Places) or by exact coordinates, and give each pin a title, description, photo and category. Visitors click a pin to see an info window with the address, opening hours, phone, website and a Directions button that opens Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze on their phone. You can pick a map skin, turn on a searchable location list and adjust the look with custom CSS. Common Ninja handles the Google Maps connection, so there is no API key to set up on your side.Who it suitsSmall businesses with two or more locations, venues and event organisers, and anyone who finds the native Squarespace Map Block too limited: it shows a single pin in Google's default styling with no per-location details. The free plan covers one map with no time limit. One honest caveatThe free plan caps the number of pins per map, and category filters, CSV import and premium skins are paid features. It loads from Common Ninja's servers; if a paid subscription lapses the widget drops back to the free plan and premium features switch off. For a single location, the native Map Block is free and needs no third-party script.InstallationBuild the map in Common Ninja's editor, copy the embed snippet and paste it into a Squarespace code block on your contact or locations page. Edits made in the editor update every embed automatically.Related guide: see how it compares with the Elfsight and SquareWebsites options in our best store locator plugins for Squarespace roundup.
What Job Application Form Builder (Common Ninja) isJob Application Form Builder is Common Ninja's hiring form widget, a hosted form you build in Common Ninja's editor and embed on a Squarespace careers page. The old copy here described buttons, tabs and accordions, a different product. What it doesThe vendor page lists name, email and phone, CV file upload, cover letter, work experience, availability, salary expectations, available start date and custom screening questions per role, grouped under section headers. Notification emails alert the hiring manager, honeypot fields and optional CAPTCHA keep the list clean, and the applicant list exports to CSV for shortlisting.Who it suitsSmall businesses, restaurants, retailers, agencies and seasonal employers on Squarespace who want applications and CVs in one place without paying for an applicant tracking system. One honest caveatSquarespace's Form Block cannot accept file uploads, so the CV upload is the real reason to use this. In exchange, applicant data, which is personal data, sits in Common Ninja's dashboard on a third party script, so update your privacy notice and set a retention habit. Larger uploads are a paid-tier feature, and there is no pipeline or status tracking: it is an intake form, not an ATS.Setup and pricingBuild the form in Common Ninja's editor and paste the embed code into a Squarespace code block (Core, formerly Business, plan or higher). Common Ninja is recurring software: the free plan covers one job application form with no time limit, and paid tiers add forms, submission volume, premium skins and the advanced features noted above.Related guideRead my roundup of the best Squarespace plugins in 2026 or browse the plugins collection.

What Easy & Secure Donation Form (Common Ninja) isEasy & Secure Donation Form is Common Ninja's fundraising form widget, a hosted form you build in Common Ninja's editor and embed on a Squarespace page. The old copy here described buttons, tabs and accordions, a different product. What it doesThe vendor page lists suggested giving tiers plus a custom amount, donor name and email, dedication or in-memory-of notes, a mailing address for receipts, and custom questions. Payment is collected inline through Stripe or PayPal, and a donor can make repeat or recurring gifts without re-entering details. File upload takes pledge paperwork, notification emails fire on each gift, and the donor list exports to CSV for receipts and bookkeeping.Who it suitsCharities, churches, schools and PTAs, community groups and campaigns on Squarespace that want to take donations on their own domain without a paid fundraising platform. One honest caveatSquarespace's own Donation Block is a Commerce feature on Core plans and above, so this fills a real gap for smaller organisations. But payment collection sits in Common Ninja's paid tiers, so the free plan gets you the form without the charge. Donor records live in Common Ninja's dashboard on a third party script, and there is no Gift Aid handling for UK charities.Setup and pricingBuild the form in Common Ninja's editor and paste the embed code into a Squarespace code block (Core, formerly Business, plan or higher). Common Ninja is recurring software: the free plan covers one donation form with no time limit, and paid tiers add forms, submission volume, premium skins and the advanced features noted above.Related guideRead my roundup of the best Squarespace plugins in 2026 or browse the plugins collection.
