Squarespace Templates for Authors
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best Squarespace template for authors?
Look for a strong book feature section, prominent mailing list capture, and clean long-form typography. This collection spans minimal literary designs through to warmer, personality-led layouts for authors who tour and speak.
Do these templates work with Squarespace 7.1?
Yes. Everything in this collection is built for Squarespace 7.1 and Fluid Engine.
Can I sell books directly from these templates?
Yes. Squarespace commerce works with any 7.1 template, so you can sell signed copies or ebooks directly, or link out to retailers like Amazon and Bookshop.org with buy buttons.
How much do author templates cost?
Most premium templates here are one-off purchases between $100 and $400, on top of your Squarespace subscription. Each listing shows the current price.
Do I need technical skills to keep the site updated?
No. New books, events, and blog posts are added through Squarespace's visual editor. Most designers include a setup guide, and no code is required.
