SiteViewer is a client feedback tool built by a Squarespace expert for people who build websites for clients. Your client opens one link, clicks anywhere on the page and leaves a comment pinned to that exact spot, with no account to create. The review link can run on your own domain with your logo, so the whole process looks like it came from your studio. What it is
SiteViewer combines two jobs most agencies stitch together from separate tools: private preview hosting and on-page client feedback. You can upload an HTML file, a zipped site, a PDF or a set of images, or paste the URL of a live website built on Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow, Framer or Wix. Either way you get one private link, and your client comments straight onto the page.
It is made by Dave Hawkins, founder of the London studio Made by Dave, a Squarespace Circle Platinum Partner, Authorised Trainer and Community Partner with more than 600 client sites behind him. Dave also teaches other designers through Squarehead, and SiteViewer grew out of the feedback frustrations he kept hearing about from studios. It is independent, self-funded and built in the UK. We use it on our own agency projects.
What it does
The core of SiteViewer is the review room, with branding, version control and AI tools built around it. Key features include:
- Pinned comments with context: each comment anchors to the element on the page and arrives with an automatic screenshot plus the reviewer's browser, operating system and screen size, so "it looks broken on mine" comes with proof.
- No client accounts: reviewers add their name once and start commenting. Returning reviewers get a one-click sign-in link to a portal showing everything they are reviewing.
- Squarespace trial-mode reviews: enter the trial password once and clients review a site that is still in build without ever seeing the Squarespace password gate or needing a contributor seat. Works on 7.0 and 7.1.
- Your own domain, white-labelled: point a subdomain such as review.yourstudio.com at SiteViewer, with SSL handled automatically, your logo on the password gate and client emails sent in your studio's name.
- Versions on one link: publish a new version and the share link stays the same, with one-click rollback and earlier comments carried forward.
- Preview analytics: see total views and when the client last opened the link, so you know the review has landed before you chase.
- Feedback deadlines: set a closing date, the client gets a reminder two days before, and commenting genuinely stops on the day.
- Team tools: threaded replies, reactions, assignments, private internal comments, email digests on your schedule and instant Slack alerts.
- AI assistant support: turn a comment into a prompt, export every open comment as Markdown, or connect Claude Code, Cursor or Codex over MCP to read, fix and resolve comments directly.

SiteViewer has a free plan, two paid tiers and a one-off lifetime option. Prices are in US dollars excluding VAT, and every new account starts with a 14-day Studio trial with no card required:
- Free: five projects (HTML, PDF or images), one seat, password protection and a siteviewer.app link.
- Pro: $6.40 per month billed annually. Unlimited hosted projects, one live website, three seats, one custom domain, white-label password page, branded emails, analytics and MCP.
- Studio: $16 per month billed annually. Adds pinned client comments on live sites, unlimited websites, Export to AI, Slack, private comments, ten seats and ten custom domains.
- Studio Lifetime: $399 one-off for Studio forever, including all v1.x updates.
The important detail: the pinned client comment layer is a Studio feature. Pro is an excellent branded preview host, but if client feedback on the page is why you are here, budget for Studio.
Who it is for
SiteViewer is built for studios and freelancers running a handful of client projects at a time who want the whole review to look like it came from them. Squarespace designers get the most out of it thanks to trial-mode support, but it works just as well for WordPress, Webflow and Framer studios, and for designers presenting HTML concepts or AI-built prototypes. It is not a bug tracker: there are no sprint boards or Jira sync, so larger product teams gathering feedback from thousands of users will want a different tool.
