Overview

If you run events on a Squarespace site (a conference, a retreat, a workshop series), presenting the schedule usually means a long wall of text. Common Ninja's free Agenda widget replaces that with a proper structured schedule: each item shows its time, location and speaker at a glance, visitors can switch between collapsed and expanded views, and full details open in a popup rather than pushing people to another page. Each agenda item can also link out, for example to a registration or ticket page. You build it in Common Ninja's editor and paste one line of embed code into a Squarespace code block; later edits sync to your site automatically. Free plan available, with paid tiers for higher traffic.

Squarespace does not have a schedule or agenda block, so event sites usually end up presenting their program as headings and paragraphs. It works, but it is hard to scan, and it generates exactly the 'what time is the keynote?' emails you were hoping the website would prevent. The Agenda widget solves this with a purpose-built schedule layout.

Each agenda item displays the essentials at a glance: time, location, and who is leading the session. Visitors can flick between a compact collapsed view and a fully expanded one, and clicking an item opens its details in a popup, so nobody loses their place scrolling. Individual items can link out to anything you like, which makes it easy to connect a session to its registration page, speaker bio or ticket checkout.

Installation is the usual Common Ninja routine: build the agenda in their visual editor, pick a theme, adjust colors, fonts and spacing (custom CSS is there if you want to go further), then paste a single line of embed code into a Squarespace code block. When the schedule changes, and event schedules always change, you edit it in the dashboard and the site updates itself. No re-embedding, no republishing.

The honest caveats are the same as for any Common Ninja widget. It is an externally hosted embed, and the free plan comes with view limits, so a high-traffic event page may need a paid tier to stay visible through a busy launch week. Check the current limits on the vendor's pricing page before a big event, and make sure your Squarespace plan supports embedded code. For multi-day conferences, workshop series or webinar programs, it earns its place.
