Facebook Reviews

Facebook Reviews from Elfsight shows the recommendations left on your Facebook Page on a Squarespace site. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's editor you paste the URL of your public Facebook Page; no Facebook app or API setup is needed. Each review shows the author's name, profile photo, date, text and star rating with a link to your page, under a header with your overall rating and the number of people who recommend you. Six layouts, five colour elements and adjustable font sizes handle the look, an AI summary card can condense the feedback, and a review request button sends visitors to your Facebook Page to leave their own. Elfsight refreshes the reviews roughly every 72 hours.

Who it suits

Local businesses, event companies, salons, wedding suppliers and anyone whose customers already leave recommendations on Facebook rather than Google. A free plan is available to start with.

One honest caveat

Facebook moved from star reviews to recommendations some years ago, so what you display depends on what Facebook exposes for your page, and a page with few recommendations makes a thin widget. Each widget shows one page only. The Positive and Exclude filters let you hide criticism; consumer protection rules in the UK and elsewhere frown on selective display, so show the lot. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits, and the reviews disappear if your account lapses.

Installation

Add your page URL in Elfsight's editor, choose a layout, copy the embed code and paste it into a Squarespace code block where the reviews should appear. Later edits in the editor update automatically.
