Grounded State is a Squarespace 7.1 template from Emily Ames for nervous system coaches, counsellors, therapists, somatic practitioners and nutritional therapists who want a site with more weight than the usual soft wellness look. It is dark and editorial, with cream and warm gold accents and a serif and sans-serif pairing.
Eight core pages cover a practitioner business: home, about, services with an initial consultation, 1:1 and group programme, a corporate wellness page for speaking and workshops, testimonials, a favourites and affiliate page, a course sales page and contact. Demo copy is written for nervous system and wellness brands. $277.
Full description
Grounded State is Emily Ames's answer to a problem she sees across the wellness template market: most designs are soft, pastel and interchangeable, which undersells practitioners doing serious work on stress, regulation, burnout and root-cause healing. This one goes the other way. The palette is near-black with warm cream and gold, the type pairs a serif with a clean sans-serif, and the hero sections lean on bold typographic statements rather than stock imagery.
The home page walks a visitor through your approach, a framework section, a short bio and a clear route to getting started, finishing with the ways to work with you. The services page is laid out for an initial consultation, a 1:1 programme and a group programme, with pricing placeholders. The about page has room for your full story, teaching background and who you work with.
Three pages make it more than a brochure site. The corporate wellness page is built for practitioners who speak or consult on burnout. The favourites page gives you somewhere to share products you recommend with affiliate links. The course sales page is the one I would single out: Emily spent years as an online course coach, and it shows in a long-form page designed to sell a programme, something most practitioner templates simply do not include.
The demo copy is written for nervous system and wellness brands, so you are editing rather than starting from a blank page. It is a 7.1 Fluid Engine build with no code required. The honest caveat: the dark look is a deliberate choice, so if your clients expect light and gentle, Emily's Nourish + Flow or Healing Co. will suit better. At $277 it sits in the same bracket as her other templates.
