Overview

What Order Form Creator (Common Ninja) is

Order Form Creator is Common Ninja's order-taking form widget, a hosted form you build in Common Ninja's editor and embed on a Squarespace page. The old copy here described buttons, tabs and accordions, a different product.

What it does

The vendor page lists item name, quantity, price, variants such as size and colour, custom options like engraving text, and an optional shipping address, with minimum and maximum quantities and section headers. PayPal or Stripe integration collects payment at submission so the order arrives already paid; Stripe takes card details inline and PayPal uses its own button flow. Notification emails fire when an order lands, the customer gets an automated confirmation, and orders export to CSV for fulfilment and accounting.

Who it suits

Custom cake makers, made-to-order crafts, B2B reorder forms, takeaway menus and service requests on Squarespace where a structured form beats a full checkout.

One honest caveat

Squarespace Commerce already handles products, variants, inventory, tax and shipping properly, and once you need payments (a Common Ninja paid-tier feature) a Core plan is often the better value. Use this for genuinely simple flows: there is no stock control, tax calculation or shipping rates, and orders live in Common Ninja's dashboard rather than your Squarespace orders panel.

Setup and pricing

Build the form in Common Ninja's editor and paste the embed code into a Squarespace code block (Core, formerly Business, plan or higher). Common Ninja is recurring software: the free plan covers one order form with no time limit, and paid tiers add forms, submission volume, premium skins and the advanced features noted above.

FAQs

FAQs

What does the Common Ninja Order Form Creator do?
It adds a hosted order form to a Squarespace page with item, quantity, price, variant and custom option fields, optional PayPal or Stripe payment at submission, order notifications and CSV export.
Should I use this instead of Squarespace Commerce?
Only for simple flows. Commerce handles inventory, tax and shipping and keeps orders in your Squarespace panel. This widget has no stock control or tax calculation and stores orders in Common Ninja's dashboard.
How is payment taken?
Through PayPal or Stripe connected in the editor. Stripe collects card details inline and PayPal uses its own button flow, so the order arrives already paid. Payment integration is a paid-tier feature.
Does the customer get a confirmation?
Yes. You can configure an automated order confirmation email to the customer and notification emails to one or more addresses on your side.
How do I add it to Squarespace?
Build the form in Common Ninja's editor, copy the one-line embed snippet and paste it into a code block on the page. Code blocks need a Core (formerly Business) plan or higher. Later edits in the editor update the live embed automatically.
Is it free?
Common Ninja's free plan covers one order form with no time limit and no credit card. Paid tiers add more forms, higher monthly submission limits, premium skins and payment integration, advanced field types, webhook delivery and conditional logic. Check the current tier table on the vendor site before relying on a specific feature.
