Overview
Sales Notification from Elfsight shows small popup notices on a Squarespace page that signal recent activity: a purchase, a sign-up, a review, a booking, a new follower or a donation. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's editor you write each notification (message, image, link and call-to-action button), choose where it appears on desktop and mobile, and set the first delay, how long each one stays on screen and the interval between them. Squarespace has nothing comparable built in, so this is an add-on rather than a replacement for a native feature.

Honest limits
The important one: every notification is written by you in the editor. Nothing is pulled from Squarespace Commerce orders or from any live data, so the widget is only as honest as you keep it, and I would never recommend showing purchases that did not happen (UK consumer protection rules take a dim view of invented social proof). Because the content is static, an old notification keeps appearing until you edit or delete it. Popups of this kind can irritate visitors, particularly on mobile, so use the close button and keep the interval generous. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits, and because the notices load from Elfsight's servers they disappear if your subscription lapses.
Installation on Squarespace
Build the notifications in Elfsight's editor, copy the embed code and paste it into a Squarespace code block. Adding it to Settings, Advanced, Code Injection in the footer shows it on every page; a code block on one page limits it to that page. Changes made later in the editor apply automatically.
