Overview
Scroll Away Hero creates a full screen hero that holds attention on load, then fades gracefully away as visitors scroll into the rest of the page. It solves the classic full screen hero trade-off: you get the cinematic opening without permanently sacrificing the top of every page view, because the hero steps aside the moment someone starts exploring.
It suits portfolios, studios and brand-led homepages where the first impression carries real weight. Installation is copy and paste code with a video walkthrough, and the plugin is automatically maintained by the developer. See where it sits among the best Squarespace plugins in 2026.

FAQs
FAQs
What does Scroll Away Hero do?
It creates a full screen hero section that fades away as visitors scroll, revealing the rest of the page beneath it.
Why use a scroll away hero instead of a normal banner?
A normal full screen banner permanently occupies the top of the page. This one delivers the cinematic first impression, then gets out of the way as soon as visitors start exploring.
What kinds of sites suit Scroll Away Hero best?
Portfolios, creative studios and brand-led homepages where a strong opening matters, on both blog and portfolio style pages.
Do I need coding skills to install Scroll Away Hero?
No. Installation is copy and paste code with a step by step video walkthrough.
What is the difference between the single and multi-use license?
The $25 single license covers one website. The $60 multi-use license covers unlimited websites and Squarespace templates you sell.
Is the plugin kept up to date with Squarespace changes?
Yes. Will Myers automatically maintains his plugins as Squarespace updates, and support is provided on a best effort basis for the first 60 days after purchase.
