Overview

AccoTabs handles the two layouts Squarespace never shipped properly, accordions and tabs, in a single plugin with a clever third mode: Auto-Adapt switches tabs into stacked accordions based on the visitor's screen width, so mobile takes care of itself. Content can be pulled dynamically from a Blog or Portfolio page, with thumbnail images available inside tab titles, and behaviour options include limiting accordions to one open panel at a time or enabling hover-activated tabs. Customisation runs through a built-in CSS generator with no coding required, and installation is a copy and paste snippet. $49 as a one-off for a single site, with a $249 agency licence covering unlimited client sites.

FAQs

FAQs

What layouts can it create?
Three modes: tabs only (classic top navigation), accordion only (stacked vertical panels), or Auto-Adapt, which shows tabs on wide screens and automatically switches to accordions on narrow ones.
Where does the content come from?
Panels can be populated dynamically from a Blog or Portfolio page, so the component updates itself as you publish, or you can build the content manually.
Can I control how visitors interact with it?
Yes. Accordions can be restricted to one open panel at a time, tabs can be switched to hover activation, and thumbnail images can be added inside tab titles.
What happens on mobile?
In Auto-Adapt mode the plugin switches tabs into stacked accordions based on the visitor's screen width, so the layout stays usable on phones without any extra setup.
Do I need to write code?
No. A built-in CSS generator handles colours, fonts and spacing, and installation is pasting a generated snippet where you want the component to appear.
How does licensing work?
Both licences are one-time payments with no subscription. The $49 solo licence covers one production website, and the $249 agency licence covers unlimited websites including client sites, with support direct from developer Dmytro Kyselov.
