Overview

Squarespace Counter Plugin from The Square Genius adds a row of animated statistic cards to a Squarespace 7.1 page: numbers that count up from zero when the section scrolls into view, each with a label, an optional icon and its own card styling. It is the pattern you see on charity and agency sites ("1,200 families supported", "15 years in business", "400+ projects delivered") and Squarespace has no native block for it. The plugin is HTML, CSS and JavaScript, so it is lightweight and there is no external widget platform or monthly app fee. Colours, card backgrounds, icons, shadows, spacing and fonts are all adjustable in the CSS.

Who it suits

Charities and nonprofits with impact numbers, agencies and freelancers with project counts and years of experience, and shops or membership sites that want to show customer or review totals on a credibility section. It works best with three or four numbers that genuinely mean something.

One honest caveat

The numbers are static. You type each figure into the code and update it by hand; the plugin does not read from your orders, donations, reviews or any other data source. Earlier copy on this page suggested otherwise, and that was wrong. Custom code requires a Core plan or higher (Business or Commerce on older plans), and the vendor states it is built for Squarespace 7.1 only.

Installation

Copy the supplied HTML into a Code Block where you want the stats to appear, the CSS into Custom CSS and the JavaScript into Code Injection, following the included instructions. Then edit the numbers and labels to suit your site.
