Squarespace Fundraising Tracker Plugin

Squarespace Fundraising Tracker Plugin from The Square Genius shows campaign progress as a heart that fills with liquid as donations grow, with a badge beneath it showing the total raised and the goal. It is a more emotive alternative to a plain progress bar, built as an animated SVG with CSS and JavaScript for Squarespace 7.1. Colours, font and currency (pounds or dollars) are all adjustable, and the animation runs smoothly on mobile as well as desktop. Like the rest of The Square Genius range it is a code snippet you add to your site, not a hosted widget, so there is no ongoing fee.

Who it suits

Charities, community fundraisers, hospices, animal rescues and purpose-led businesses running a donation drive with a clear target. The heart shape makes the most sense for causes where warmth is part of the message; a corporate sales target would look odd in it.

One honest caveat

The tracker does not connect to your donation platform or Squarespace commerce. The total raised is a figure you enter by hand, so keep it updated or the heart will sit half full long after the campaign has moved on. Custom code needs a Core plan or higher (Business or Commerce on older plans), and the vendor states it is compatible with Squarespace 7.1 only.

Installation

Copy the supplied code into your Squarespace 7.1 site following the vendor's guide, then set the goal, the current total, the currency symbol and your colours. Updating progress later means changing one value.
