Overview
Most layout plugins make you build the content twice: once in your collection and again in the fancy display. Will Myers' Vertical Accordion avoids that entirely, creating a stylish vertical accordion layout that pulls its content dynamically from a Portfolio or Blog Collection you already maintain. Add a project to the portfolio and the accordion updates itself; there is nothing to rebuild and no second copy to keep in sync, which also makes it genuinely easy to hand off to a client. Installation is copy-and-paste with a walkthrough video, the plugin is automatically maintained as Squarespace changes, and it costs $25 for a single site or $60 multi-use covering unlimited websites and templates for sale.
What it does
- Displays a Portfolio or Blog Collection as a vertical accordion of expanding panels
- Pulls content dynamically so new items appear without rebuilding
- Keeps the layout editable by clients through the collection they already manage
- Installs with copy and paste code and a walkthrough video

FAQs
FAQs
What does the Vertical Accordion plugin do?
It displays your content as a stylish vertical accordion of expanding panels, pulling everything dynamically from a Portfolio or Blog Collection you already maintain.
What does 'dynamic' mean in practice?
The accordion shows your actual collection items, not copies: add a project or post to the collection and the accordion updates itself, with nothing to rebuild.
Is it suitable for client sites?
Very: easy client handoff is part of the design, since clients update the accordion just by managing their portfolio or blog as normal.
What content works best in it?
Portfolios, case studies and curated blog highlights, anywhere a body of work benefits from a compact, interactive presentation instead of a long grid.
How is it installed and maintained?
Copy-and-paste code with a walkthrough video, and the plugin is automatically maintained to stay current with Squarespace changes. Support is best-effort for the first 60 days on universal technical issues; compatibility with other custom code is not guaranteed.
How is it licensed?
$25 for a single website, or $60 for the multi-use license covering unlimited sites and Squarespace templates for sale.
