Overview

Website Contact Form is Elfsight's Contact Form widget, an embeddable form hosted on Elfsight's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's editor you pick from around 20 field types (text, email, phone, dropdowns, checkboxes, date pickers, ratings), reorder and label them, and choose a layout: Default sits in the page, Boxed gives it a contained look, and Floating shows an icon that expands into the form on any page. Google reCAPTCHA handles spam, submissions are stored in your Elfsight dashboard, and you can turn on email notifications, an autoresponder and one-click integrations with Mailchimp, Google Sheets and Zapier. Multi-step forms and a custom thank-you message are included.

Who it suits

Businesses that want a floating contact button on every page, a multi-step enquiry form, or submissions flowing straight into Google Sheets or Mailchimp without a separate automation tool. A free plan is available to start with.

One honest caveat

Squarespace already includes a Form Block on every plan that stores submissions in your site and emails them to you, so for a plain contact form you do not need this. Choose it for the floating layout, multi-step flow or integrations, and accept that your enquiries then live in Elfsight's dashboard rather than in Squarespace. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits, and the form stops working if your account lapses.

Installation

Build the form in Elfsight's editor, copy the embed code and paste it into a Squarespace code block, or into footer code injection for the Floating layout so it appears site-wide. Changes made later in the editor update automatically.

FAQs

FAQs

What does the Elfsight Contact Form widget do on a Squarespace site?
It adds a customisable contact form with around 20 field types, spam protection, email notifications and optional integrations with Mailchimp, Google Sheets and Zapier.
Is this native Squarespace code?
No. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform. You build it in Elfsight's editor and paste an embed code into a Squarespace code block or code injection.
How is it different from the Squarespace Form Block?
The native Form Block is free and stores submissions in Squarespace. Elfsight adds a floating layout that appears on every page, multi-step forms, a custom thank-you message and direct integrations.
Where do the submissions go?
They are stored in the Submissions section of your Elfsight dashboard. You can also receive email notifications, send an autoresponder to the visitor, or push entries to Google Sheets, Mailchimp or Zapier.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Elfsight offers a free plan for this widget. Free-tier widgets include Elfsight branding and monthly view limits, and paid plans remove those restrictions.
Can I remove the widget later?
Yes. Delete the embed code from your Squarespace page or code injection and the form disappears. Export any submissions you need from the Elfsight dashboard first.
