To join the Squarespace Forma waitlist, go to squarespace.com/forma and click "Join the waitlist". Joining puts you in line for early access to the beta; it does not give you access straight away. Squarespace has not published a timeline, pricing or how places are allocated, so treat it as registering interest.
Forma is Squarespace's new AI builder for websites and apps, unveiled at Circle Day 2026. If you are new to it, start with What Is Squarespace Forma? This guide covers the sign-up itself, what to expect afterwards and how to make good use of early access when it arrives.

The Forma waitlist page, captured 22 October 2026.
How to join the Forma waitlist
- Open the Forma page. Go to squarespace.com/forma. The page shows the Forma name with a "beta" label and a prompt asking what you would like to build.
- Click "Join the waitlist". It is the only call to action on the page.
- Follow the sign-up prompts. Use the email address you want early access sent to. If you already have a Squarespace account, using the same address keeps things simple later.
- Watch your inbox. Any invitation will come by email, so check promotions and spam folders, and consider adding Squarespace to your safe senders.
That is the whole process. There is no cost to join.
What to expect after you sign up
Be realistic. At the time of writing Squarespace has not said:
- when the first invitations go out
- how many people get access, or whether Circle partners or existing customers are prioritised
- what Forma will cost during or after the beta
- which countries it is available in
Beta products also change quickly. Features may appear and disappear, and anything you build during a beta may not carry over cleanly when the product launches properly. I will update this page as Squarespace confirms details.
How to get the most out of early access
When an invitation arrives, a little preparation means you learn far more from your first session.
1. Pick a test project, not a live site
Do not move a working business website onto a beta. Choose something low-risk: a side project, a landing page for an idea, an internal tool or a rebuild of an old site you no longer use.
2. Write your prompt like a short brief
AI builders do better with specific context. Before you start, write down who the site or app is for, what visitors need to do, the pages or features you need, and the feel you want. Squarespace gives similar advice for its existing AI builder: explain what you are building, who it is for and what visitors should be able to do.
3. Test the things that matter after launch
Generating a good-looking first draft is the easy part for any AI tool. The questions that decide whether Forma is useful are about what happens next:
- Can you change text and images directly, or only by prompting?
- How does it look and behave on mobile?
- Can you connect your own domain?
- Can you add forms, payments, bookings or a newsletter sign-up?
- Can you add custom code or third-party plugins?
- Is there an SEO panel for page titles and descriptions?
- Can you export what you build, or is it tied to Squarespace?
4. If you are a designer, test the handover
At Altitude Design, our test for any new tool is whether a client can run the result without calling us for every change. If you get access, invite a colleague who has not seen the project and ask them to update a page. That five-minute test will tell you more about Forma's fit for client work than any demo.
What to use while you wait
You do not need Forma to build with AI on Squarespace today.
- Blueprint AI. Squarespace's existing AI website builder generates a full site you edit in the normal editor. See Forma vs Blueprint AI for how they differ.
- SquareKicker Compose. AI-assisted design inside the Squarespace editor, covered in our SquareKicker Compose review.
- A premium template. Often the fastest route to a polished site. Start with our best Squarespace templates in 2026.
- Plugins for the gaps. Filters, mega menus, booking and more are covered in the plugin directory.
And if you are worried about your current site, read Is Squarespace 7.1 going away? The short answer is no.
Frequently asked questions
How do I join the Squarespace Forma waitlist?
Go to squarespace.com/forma, click "Join the waitlist" and follow the sign-up prompts. Early access invitations are sent by email.
Is the Forma waitlist free?
Yes. There is no cost to join. Squarespace has not announced what Forma itself will cost.
How long is the Forma waitlist?
Squarespace has not published a timeline or said how many people will get access, so there is no reliable estimate yet.
Do I need a Squarespace account to join?
Squarespace has not stated a requirement either way. Using the email address on your existing Squarespace account, if you have one, keeps things simple.
Can I use Forma for my business website now?
Not until you have access, and even then it is a beta. For a live business site, building on Squarespace 7.1 is the safer choice today.
Do Circle partners get early access to Forma?
Squarespace has not said whether Circle partners are prioritised. Circle partners usually hear about early access programmes through the Circle dashboard and release notes, so keep an eye on both.
