Squarespace templates come in two kinds. Squarespace's own starter templates are free, and for a simple site they are fine (my guide to the best free Squarespace templates covers them). The templates in this guide are the other kind: premium designs built by independent designers and installed onto your own Squarespace 7.1 site, with the page structure, copy prompts and tutorials for a particular type of business already worked out. I have built more than 400 Squarespace sites at Altitude Design, my Squarespace Platinum Partner agency, and when a client has a modest budget these are the templates I point them to.
I went through the Squarespace templates on SquareLocator and chose fourteen across the industries we get asked about most. Every write-up is based on the designer's own listing and demo site, checked on 21 September 2026, including the real page list and the price that day, with an honest caveat where I have one.

Why Trust SquareLocator?
SquareLocator features hundreds of Squarespace templates from creators around the world. For this guide I assessed each template on whether the demo is honestly built for the business it claims, what pages actually ship, how it is delivered and supported, and whether it will still look considered once your own photos and copy are in it. I have been a Squarespace Platinum Partner since 2018 with more than 400 client builds behind me.

Everything else is in the template finder, filterable by industry and designer.

1. Belladonna by Big Cat Creative
Best for: Photographers, service providers and creatives building their first site themselves.
Belladonna appears in my photographers, wedding professionals and interior designers roundups, and it is my overall pick because of the package around it. The demo is an editorial portfolio with Home, About, Portfolio, Galleries, Packages, Blog, Info and Contact pages plus shop, podcast and sales page layouts. Seven designed pages arrive within 48 hours as a new site or installed into yours, with Canva graphics, a copywriting workbook, an SEO checklist and video tutorials.
Honest caveat: the default styling is soft and feminine, so a corporate brand restyles from the start; the Squarespace templates for photographers collection has other palettes.
View Belladonna on SquareLocator or buy from Big Cat Creative.
2. Consultant by Kseniia Krasilich
Best for: Consultants, freelancers and small agencies that sell services and need a pricing page.
Consultant tops my consultants roundup. Kseniia Krasilich sells it as her business template for service professionals, with Home, About, Services, Service Details, Pricing, Contact, Blog and a Link in Bio page. It is Fluid Engine, so everything is drag and drop, and it lands in your account as a new trial site within 24 hours; installing into an existing site is a $99 add-on.
Honest caveat: the design is tidy rather than distinctive, which suits looking established more than standing out; see the Squarespace templates for consultants collection for more personality.

3. Clara by Candor Templates
Best for: Coaches, mentors and course creators who run launches and build an email list.
Candor built Clara for coaches, mentors, content creators and online educators, and the demo is a life coach's site. The main pages are Home, About, Services, Shop, Portfolio, Journal and Contact, but the reason I recommend it is the bonus folder: Schedule a Call, Lead Magnets, Newsletter Landing, Newsletter Thank You, Careers, FAQs, Social Links and a styled 404. That is the funnel a coach usually pays a designer to add later. Delivery is into a fresh 7.1 site within 48 business hours with video tutorials.
Honest caveat: seventeen pages is a lot for a new coach, so prune before launch. My coaches roundup and the Squarespace templates for coaches collection have the alternatives.
View Clara on SquareLocator or buy from Candor Templates.
4. Trove Agency by GoLive
Best for: Agencies, studios and service businesses with a portfolio to show.
Trove Agency is the services version of GoLive's Trove design, used by more than 410 service businesses according to GoLive. The demo is a home goods and interiors company, and the eight layouts are Home, Services, Portfolio, Portfolio Project, About, Blog, Blog Post and Contact. It is a portfolio and enquiry site with no commerce page, and GoLive's five-day customisation course and email support come with it.
Honest caveat: the image-led home page only works with strong photography of your own work; if you sell by case study, look at Consultant above or the Squarespace templates for agencies collection.

5. Venoir by Asha Glenn Design Studio
Best for: Designers and creative entrepreneurs who want one site for services, a shop, a podcast and a blog.
Venoir is the all-rounder here. Asha Glenn describes it as luxury meets simplicity, and the demo is a branding studio with nine pages: Home, About, Services, Portfolio, Shop, Blog, Podcast, Resources and Contact, which covers almost every way a creative business earns money. It is Fluid Engine, styled with muted tones and serif type, and comes with a client hub of video tutorials. It was on sale at $197 from $297 when I checked.
Honest caveat: some listings have mislabelled it as a fitness template; it is not one. The Squarespace templates for designers collection has the wider field.
6. Bare Bloom Studio by Chase e-Design
Best for: Nail salons, beauty studios and wellness practitioners whose site exists to take bookings.
Bare Bloom Studio is the clearest example here of a template built for one job. Chase e-Design made it for beauty professionals who want a calm, minimal, premium feel, and the six pages are Home, About, Service Menu, Gallery, Journal and Contact, with the service menu steering visitors to book. Bookings are a link to your scheduler, with Acuity the obvious pairing.
Honest caveat: it is booking-led, not schedule-led, so a gym with a timetable should look at Natasha Fitness below. See the Squarespace templates for beauty brands collection and my service businesses roundup.

7. Method by GoLive
Best for: Wedding planners and stylists who also sell a few products.
GoLive position Method as a wedding coordinator website, and the demo is a planner and stylist's site with nine layouts: Home, About, Services, Portfolio, Portfolio Item, Blog, Blog Post, Contact and Shop, in a black and white editorial style. It is for the professional, not the couple: no RSVP, guest list or registry. It sits fourth in my wedding professionals roundup behind three photography-led designs.
Honest caveat: the shop is a bonus, not a storefront; if products are your main income, see Meadow below or the Squarespace templates for wedding planners collection.
8. Meadow by GoLive
Best for: Florists and small product businesses that sell by occasion and offer subscriptions.
Meadow is a florist's shop template, and it shows. The demo is a flower shop with a shop organised by occasion, a Wedding and Events page and a Flower Subscription sales page, across nine layouts: Home, About, Shop, Shop Items, Flower Subscription, Blog, Blog Posts, Case Studies and Contact. Squarespace commerce does the selling, so you need a Commerce plan to take orders.
Honest caveat: older listings called it general retail; it is florist-shaped, so a fashion or homeware brand will restructure. My ecommerce roundup and the Squarespace templates for retail brands collection cover general shops.
9. The Hotel by Square Templates Club
Best for: Independent hotels, boutique guesthouses and inns with a bar or restaurant.
I should declare an interest: the creator account behind The Hotel on the SquareKicker store is Altitude, my own agency. The demo is a luxury New York hotel with a Book a Stay button on every page, and the ten layouts are landing, about, rooms and suites, drink and dine, blog, neighbourhood, contact, room, legal and gallery, with twenty sections including menus, a map, FAQ and a video hero. It installs through the SquareKicker Template Engine onto any 7.1 site in a few clicks.
Honest caveat: at $599 it is one of the dearest templates here, and booking is a link to your own engine. Antique Hotel by Square Design tops my hotels and hospitality roundup for heritage properties, so compare the two.
View The Hotel on SquareLocator or buy from the SquareKicker store.
10. Chaya Kitchen by Rara Matter
Best for: Restaurants, bars and premium food brands with a seasonal menu and events.
Chaya Kitchen is a dark, dramatic restaurant template sold through the SquareKicker store. Rara Matter list eight layouts (menu, about, news, gallery, contact, legal and landing among them) and 22 sections including a seasonal menu, events, chef profiles, reviews and a map. The demo navigation is Menu, About, Events, Gallery and Contact, which is the whole job of a restaurant site in five pages.
Honest caveat: reservations are a link to your booking provider, and the dark palette suits evening dining far better than a daytime café; the Squarespace templates for restaurants collection has lighter options.
View Chaya Kitchen on SquareLocator or buy from the SquareKicker store.
11. Natasha Fitness by Emily Kay
Best for: Personal trainers and fitness coaches selling programmes under their own name.
Natasha Fitness is built around the trainer as the brand. Emily Kay's listing gives eleven layouts (landing, about, services, events, blog, newsletter, form, contact, social media, updates and legal) and 29 sections, and the demo runs About, Programs, Upcoming Events, Blog, Newsletter, an intake form and Contact. That is a stronger structure for a coach who sells programmes and runs events than most fitness templates manage, and it is second in my fitness businesses roundup.
Honest caveat: no class timetable or membership area, the animations are SquareKicker effects that need a subscription to edit after the trial, and $599 is a business price. See Squarespace templates for personal trainers.
View Natasha Fitness on SquareLocator or buy from the SquareKicker store.
12. Fidelity by Applet Studio
Best for: Established charities that need the full set of trust pages and a proper donation ask.
Fidelity is my overall pick in the nonprofits and charities roundup. The demo is a financial education charity with thirteen pages: Home, About, Team, Our History, Impact, Training, News, Events, Support Us, Donate, Careers, Partners and Contact. Applet Studio install the demo content into a new site within 24 hours with a restyle mini-course and email support. It was on sale at $180 from $225 when I checked.
Honest caveat: a small charity with one programme will find half the pages empty, and donations use Squarespace's donation block (Business plan or above) with no Gift Aid workflow. The Squarespace templates for non-profits collection has smaller structures.
View Fidelity on SquareLocator or buy from Applet Studio.
13. Quinn by GoLive
Best for: Speakers, podcasters and personal brands that get booked.
Quinn is GoLive's personal brand template, and they say more than 660 have launched on it. The demo is a keynote speaker's site with a Book Quinn call to action on every page, keynote topics and a podcast listing, across six pages: Home, About, Speaking, Podcast, Freebies and Contact. It is warm and neutral, easy to restyle, and comes with GoLive's five-day course and support.
Honest caveat: if you have seen Quinn described as a restaurant template, ignore it; there is no menu page. Six pages is lean, so a speaker who also sells courses will want Jada from the same designer; the Squarespace templates for personal brands collection lists both.
14. Social Light by 23and9 Creative
Best for: A new business that needs a bold first website on one page, live this week.
Social Light is a one-page Fluid Engine template from 23and9 Creative, a Squarespace Authorised Trainer. The demo is a social media strategist's site: what she does, who she is, three packages, client quotes and a contact form, on one scroll with anchor navigation. Graphics are editable in Canva, and at $159 it is the cheapest template here. For a sole trader with one service, it is genuinely enough.
Honest caveat: one page means one page: no blog, shop or services page. Embody by GoLive is the one-page alternative for coaches; the Squarespace templates for small businesses collection has both. I compare ten of them, Social Light and Embody included, in my roundup of the best one-page Squarespace templates in 2026.

How to Choose a Premium Squarespace Template
A template is a head start, not a finished site. My guide to choosing the right Squarespace template goes into each of these checks. If you are still weighing up whether Squarespace is the right platform at all, read my Squarespace vs Webflow comparison first; a template only helps once the platform decision is settled.
Start with the page list, not the home page
Every template looks good on its home page. Open the demo and count the pages that match what your business needs to say; if the demo lacks a booking route, a menu or a donate page, you are building it yourself.
Check the version and the engine
Everything here is Squarespace 7.1, mostly Fluid Engine. The SquareKicker store templates (The Hotel, Chaya Kitchen, Natasha Fitness) install through the SquareKicker Template Engine; the site keeps working without a subscription, but editing their effects after the trial needs one. When a client wants spacing or effects the Squarespace editor cannot do on any template, I use SquareKicker as a no-code extension; my SquareKicker review and our SquareKicker page explain what it does and does not do. If you would rather learn to customise a template properly yourself, the layout and CSS courses in my guide to the best Squarespace courses in 2026 are where I would start.
Weigh delivery, support and specialism
The designers who include a course, a checklist or real support (Big Cat Creative, GoLive, Applet Studio, Candor Templates) are the ones I trust with a first-time builder; my guide to the best Squarespace template shops compares the studios. Almost every pick above was built for one kind of business, and I explain why that matters in why I build industry-specific Squarespace templates; Hannah Shaw of Studio Founded makes a similar case in our interview.
Browse Every Squarespace Template by Industry
Fourteen templates is a short list from a catalogue of several hundred. You can browse every Squarespace template on SquareLocator, filtered by industry, designer, style and price, or go straight to a sub-collection: photographers, coaches, consultants, service businesses, wedding professionals, restaurants, fitness businesses, non-profits, therapists, real estate agents, interior designers and creative studios.
If your budget is nil, the free Squarespace templates collection lists Squarespace's own starter designs, and my Colima review is an honest look at one of them.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best Squarespace template in 2026?
For most first-time builders, Belladonna by Big Cat Creative, because the delivery, tutorials and launch checklist around it are the most complete. For a specific industry, choose the industry template: Consultant for professional services, Clara for coaches, The Hotel for hospitality, Fidelity for charities.
Are premium Squarespace templates worth it when Squarespace's own are free?
Often, yes. A free template gives you a starting layout. A premium one gives you the page structure, copy prompts, tutorials and support for your kind of business, which usually saves days of work and a designer's fee.
How are third-party Squarespace templates installed?
Most designers build the template as a new Squarespace site and transfer it into your account within 24 to 48 hours, or install it into your existing site. SquareKicker store templates install directly onto any Squarespace 7.1 site.
Do these templates work on Squarespace 7.0?
No. Every template in this guide is built for Squarespace 7.1, most on Fluid Engine. A 7.0 site would need to move to 7.1 first.
Which Squarespace plan do I need for a premium template?
A Core or Business plan or higher for most templates. Selling products needs a Commerce plan and the donation block needs Business or above.
Can I customise a premium template without code?
Yes. Colours, fonts, spacing and sections are edited in the Squarespace style editor and Fluid Engine. For finer control over layouts and effects, SquareKicker is the no-code extension I use, on a subscription.
Final Thoughts
For a first-time builder I would choose Belladonna, for a consultant Consultant, for a coach Clara, for a hotel The Hotel, for a restaurant Chaya Kitchen and for a charity Fidelity. The right template is the one whose demo already has the pages your customers need. Buy the structure, not the photos: start with the Squarespace templates hub, filter by your industry, and open every demo before you decide.
