Method is a Squarespace 7.1 template by GoLive that they position as a wedding coordinator website, built for service-based businesses that also sell a few products. The demo is a wedding planner and stylist's site (fashion, florals, designs) with services, a portfolio, a blog and a small shop. It is for the professional, not the couple: there is no RSVP page, guest list or registry, so if you want a personal wedding website this is the wrong template.
What you get
- Nine page layouts: Home, About, Services, Portfolio, Portfolio Item, Blog, Blog Post, Contact and Shop
- Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine, so sections are drag and drop in the standard editor
- A home page that introduces what you do, a short about, services overview, portfolio preview and a contact prompt, in a black and white editorial style
- GoLive's free five-day customisation course with step-by-step videos, a customer community, and unlimited email and Loom support
- An extended six-month Squarespace free trial and 20 per cent off your first year on an annual plan
Who it suits
Wedding planners and coordinators, florists, stylists, event designers and photographers who sell services first and a few products second: the portfolio item page is a case study layout for a single wedding, and the shop suits guides, templates or a small product line. The monochrome styling suits a modern, editorial brand more than a soft romantic one.
Honest limits
No RSVP, registry or countdown pages, so it does not work as a couple's wedding site. The shop is a Squarespace commerce layout, so selling needs a Commerce plan or a Business plan with transaction fees. The demo's black and white palette is a choice you either share or spend time undoing. GoLive's sales pages are templated, so read the demo rather than the sales copy for what is actually included.
How it is delivered
Within 24 hours of purchase GoLive send a contributor invite to a new Squarespace trial site with Method installed. If you already have a Squarespace 7.1 site they can install the pages into it as a paid add-on. You customise fonts, colours, images and text, then subscribe to a plan when you are ready to publish.
