Squarespace Promo Codes, Discounts and Black Friday Deals (2026 Guide)

The only Squarespace promo code I can confirm on Squarespace's own site today is GIMME10, which takes 10% off your first annual website plan. If you are a full-time university student, the 50% student discount through Student Beans is worth far more, and for everyone else simply choosing annual billing saves more than any code you will find on a coupon site.

I have built Squarespace sites for clients since 2018 as a Platinum Circle partner, and I get asked about discount codes all the time. This guide covers every genuine way to pay less for Squarespace in 2026, checked against Squarespace's own pricing, coupon and help pages on 8 October 2026, plus how to save on templates and plugins and what to expect around Black Friday.

Some links in this article are affiliate links. If you buy or subscribe through them we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you.

One thing to be clear about first: SquareLocator is not a Squarespace affiliate and we do not have any secret Squarespace codes. Every offer below is one Squarespace publishes itself. If a coupon site promises you a "60% off" code, be sceptical.

1. Pay annually: the biggest saving for most people

Squarespace's own FAQ says it plainly: "For the best price long-term, our annual plans offer built-in savings compared to monthly billing." Here are the current US prices from the Squarespace pricing page, with my maths on what a year costs each way:

Plan Billed monthly Billed annually Year on monthly billing Year on annual billing You save
Basic $25/mo $19/mo $300 $228 $72
Core $39/mo $29/mo $468 $348 $120
Plus $65/mo $49/mo $780 $588 $192
Advanced $139/mo $99/mo $1,668 $1,188 $480

Prices exclude tax, and UK visitors see GBP pricing on the site. For a plan-by-plan breakdown, including which tier you actually need, see my Squarespace pricing guide for 2026.

Annual billing also unlocks the free domain. Squarespace's terms: every website plan bought on an annual term includes one year of free domain registration on available domains in its cheapest pricing tier, registered within a year of starting the subscription, one per site. After the first year the domain renews at the standard rate.

On client builds I nearly always recommend annual billing once the site is ready to launch. The only time I suggest monthly is when someone genuinely does not know if the project will last beyond a few months.

2. Squarespace promo codes and discount codes: what is real

Squarespace runs an official promo codes page. As of 8 October 2026 it lists one public code:

  • GIMME10: 10% off an annual website plan, valid on your first purchase only.

On a Core plan billed annually ($348), that is a saving of $34.80 on the first year. Modest, but real. Squarespace's pricing FAQ also says it "occasionally runs promotions" and shares them through its website and emails, so codes from its own marketing emails or ads are legitimate too.

The small print that catches people out

Squarespace's help guide on offer codes sets out some rules worth knowing before you check out:

  • One code per transaction. You cannot stack two offer codes.
  • Codes do not stack with automatic discounts. Squarespace names the Circle discount and the free domain offer as examples. If you qualify for an automatic discount and enter a code, it applies whichever saves you more.
  • First payment only. The discount does not carry over to renewals.
  • No codes on renewals, although you can apply one if you change plan or billing cycle during your first billing period.
  • The promo field can disappear if another discount has already been applied automatically.

To redeem a code: click Subscribe in your trial site, pick a plan and billing cycle, enter your payment details, then add the code in the Promo code field on the Review order page and click Apply. Check the total before you confirm.

What about the codes on coupon sites?

Many coupon sites list "exclusive" codes, gift cards or percentages I cannot verify. Some may be genuine affiliate offers, some are out of date. My advice: if a code is not on Squarespace's own page or in an email from Squarespace, test it at checkout before you rely on it, and never pay to "unlock" a code.

3. Squarespace student discount: 50% off through Student Beans

Yes, Squarespace has a student discount in 2026, and it is the biggest official saving available. According to the Squarespace students page and its student discount help guide:

  • The offer: 50% off the first annual plan bought for your site.
  • Verification: through Student Beans (free to join). Squarespace does not use UNiDAYS for this.
  • Eligibility: current full-time students at an eligible college or university. Alumni, staff, faculty and school pupils are excluded.
  • Eligible plans: Basic, Core, Plus and Advanced (plus legacy Personal, Business and Commerce) on annual billing. Monthly plans, domains, Acuity Scheduling, Mobile Start plans and reactivated sites are excluded.
  • Limits: first payment only, so renewal is full price. One code every 12 months, valid until the end of the calendar year it was issued, and it cannot be combined with other offer codes.

On Core that brings the first year from $348 down to $174. Squarespace suggests getting the code from Student Beans only when you are ready to pay. If you have already paid full price, its help guide says you can contact support about a retroactive discount, so do that quickly.

How to claim it: start a free trial on Squarespace, sign up and verify with Student Beans, get your single-use code from Student Beans' Squarespace page, then upgrade your trial to an annual plan and paste the code into the Promo code field.

4. The Circle partner discount (if a designer builds your site)

This one is less well known. Designers and agencies in Squarespace's Circle programme get a discount on the first annual payment of sites they start. Squarespace's Help Center lists it by tier: 10% for Silver, 20% for Gold and 25% for Platinum partners. If the partner starts the trial, the discount applies automatically at checkout even when you, the client, pay.

If you are hiring someone to build your site, ask whether they are in Circle and whether they will start the trial for you. For transparency: my agency, Altitude Design, is a Platinum partner, so this is how our clients get 25% off their first year. I have written up the programme in more detail in Squarespace Circle explained.

5. Use the free trial properly

Every Squarespace site starts with a 14-day free trial, with no credit card required. If you run out of time, Squarespace lets you request a one-time seven-day extension from the "trial has expired" email. Circle partners get longer trials.

The money-saving tip here is simple: build as much as you can during the trial, so your paid year starts when the site is close to launch rather than while you are still choosing fonts.

What about nonprofits and charities?

I could not find a nonprofit or charity discount on Squarespace's pricing page or Help Center in 2026, and I would not trust a third-party site claiming otherwise without checking with Squarespace directly. The practical options for charities are the same as everyone else: annual billing, a Circle partner starting the trial, and a sensible plan choice. If you are building for a charity, my guide to the best Squarespace templates for nonprofits and charities and the nonprofit templates collection are good starting points.

Squarespace Black Friday: what happened in past years

Deal trackers have reported Squarespace running percentage-off Black Friday and Cyber Monday offers on new annual plans in previous years. I could not confirm the exact terms for 2024 or 2025 from Squarespace's own pages, so I am not going to quote a figure. If Squarespace runs a 2026 offer, it will appear on its coupons page and in its marketing emails.

Two things worth knowing if you are tempted to wait:

  • Seasonal codes follow the same rules as other offer codes: first payment only, no stacking, no renewals.
  • If you are a student, the 50% student discount is very likely to beat any public Black Friday code, so there is no reason to wait.

Saving on the extras: free templates and plugins

The subscription is only part of the cost. Premium templates and plugins can add up quickly, and plenty of good options cost nothing.

Free Squarespace templates

Every built-in Squarespace template is included with your plan at no extra charge. The trick is finding the good ones, which is why we built the free Squarespace templates collection and my guide to the best free Squarespace templates in 2026. Achromatic is a good example of a clean, free layout that works well as a starting point.

Premium templates are worth it when you want a layout designed for your industry, setup guidance and support. They are usually a one-off cost, so think of them alongside your first year's subscription. My guide to the best Squarespace template shops covers the designers worth buying from.

Free Squarespace plugins

Our free Squarespace plugins collection has hundreds of free code snippets and widgets, and my roundup of the best free Squarespace plugins in 2026 picks out the most useful. Examples include the Banner Image Slider from Squarespell and the Accessibility Widget from Common Ninja. If you have not installed a plugin before, read how to add plugins to Squarespace first.

One caveat from experience: free code snippets are not always maintained. Test them on a trial or duplicate page, and keep a note of what you have added in Code Injection so you can remove it later.

Elfsight free plans

Elfsight widgets work on Squarespace and have a free plan. According to Elfsight's pricing page, the free plan gives you one widget and 200 views a month, with Elfsight branding, and the widget is temporarily deactivated if you go over the limit. Paid single-widget plans start at $5 a month billed yearly, and Elfsight says new sign-ups get a 20% welcome coupon within 24 hours.

The free plan suits a low-traffic site or testing before you commit. Useful ones to try:

Any widget on a site with steady traffic will pass 200 views a month quickly, so budget for a paid plan if the widget matters. My Elfsight for Squarespace review covers which widgets are worth paying for.

Black Friday 2026: template and plugin deals

Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. Template designers and plugin makers are where Squarespace users usually find the best seasonal discounts, and I will add confirmed 2026 deals to this page as vendors announce them. I will only list offers I can check on the vendor's own site.

In the meantime, here is how to get ready so you can move quickly when deals land:

  • Shortlist now. Browse Squarespace templates and Squarespace plugins and note the two or three you would actually buy.
  • Know the shops. My template shops guide lists the designers worth following. Joining their mailing lists is usually the first place discount codes appear.
  • Check what is free first. Many common needs are covered by the free templates and plugins above.
  • Do not buy for the discount alone. A template that does not fit your content costs more in rework than it saves.
  • Learning counts too. If you want to build it yourself, my guide to the best Squarespace courses and the courses collection are worth a look before the sales start.

My advice: the cheapest honest route to Squarespace

  1. Start the free trial and build most of the site before you pay.
  2. If you are a full-time student, use the Student Beans discount. Nothing else comes close.
  3. If a designer is building your site, ask whether they are a Circle partner and can start the trial.
  4. Otherwise, choose annual billing and try GIMME10 at checkout, checking the total against the free domain offer.
  5. Use free templates and plugins first, and buy premium extras only where they genuinely save you time.

Remember that every discount covers the first payment only. Budget for full price at renewal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a working Squarespace promo code in 2026?

Yes. As of 8 October 2026, Squarespace's own coupons page lists GIMME10, which gives 10% off an annual website plan on your first purchase. Students can get 50% off through Student Beans instead.

Does Squarespace offer a student discount?

Yes. Current full-time college and university students can get 50% off their first annual Squarespace plan by verifying with Student Beans. It does not apply to monthly plans, domains or renewals.

Can I combine Squarespace discount codes?

No. Squarespace allows one offer code per transaction, and codes cannot be combined with automatic discounts such as the Circle partner discount or the free domain offer. Squarespace applies whichever saves you more.

Does Squarespace do Black Friday deals?

Deal sites have reported Black Friday offers from Squarespace in past years, but I could not verify the exact terms from Squarespace's own pages. Any 2026 offer should appear on Squarespace's coupons page. Black Friday 2026 is 27 November.

How much do you save by paying for Squarespace annually?

On current US list prices, annual billing saves between $72 a year on Basic and $480 a year on Advanced, roughly 24% to 29%. Squarespace advertises savings of up to 36%. Annual plans also include a free domain for the first year.

Do Squarespace discounts apply when my plan renews?

No. Promo codes, the student discount and Circle partner discounts all apply to the first payment only. Your plan renews at the standard price, so budget for that.
