Who Belladonna is built for

Belladonna is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Big Cat Creative for photographers who sell packages: weddings, couples and elopements in the demo, though the structure works for portrait and family photographers too. The vendor also lists small businesses, service providers, bloggers and creatives, and the feminine, romantic styling would suit a florist or stylist without much effort. The old listing counted four pages; the vendor lists seven and the demo agrees.

The pages and sections you get

The seven pages are Home, About, Packages, Info, Portfolio, Blog and Contact (labelled "Get in touch" in the demo). The home page runs a hero with a short business intro, a mission statement, a two-image feature, a featured clients block, an inline contact form and an Instagram-style gallery. Packages groups offers into Weddings, Couples and Elopements with a client testimonial, a work gallery and a "ready to book" prompt; Info is a single-offer detail page with deliverables and an FAQ accordion; Portfolio is a gallery index and the Blog works out of the box. There is no shop in the base build. Matching shop, sales page, podcast, freebie and link page layouts exist, but they are sold separately as add-ons; the demo site carries them off the main navigation.

Design and customisation notes

Belladonna is built on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine sections, so every layout is edited with the native drag and drop editor and site styles panel; there is no plugin or code to maintain. Big Cat Creative publishes reworked demos of the same template (Belladonna Bold, Belladonna Dark, Belladonna Neutral) to show how far the colours, fonts and imagery can be pushed, which I find a more honest demonstration of flexibility than a list of adjectives. Purchase includes delivery within 48 hours as a new site or an install into your existing 7.1 site, step by step video tutorials, a Squarespace resource library, editable Canva graphics, a copywriting workbook with AI prompts, an SEO checklist and a launch guide. Belladonna is soft and feminine, with thin serif type, blush and cream tones and rounded image masks; the Dark variant is surprisingly good if you want the same layout with more drama.

One honest caveat

Like the rest of the Big Cat Creative range, Belladonna has no client galleries, proofing or booking. Photo delivery needs a separate service and enquiries come through a plain form. The demo's home page also includes a full contact form, so if you keep it you will have two forms on the site and should give them different storage or labels.
