Looking for Squarespace website examples you can actually learn from? Below are 31 real, live websites built on Squarespace, grouped by industry, from hotels and restaurants to therapists, coaches, online shops and charities, with a short note on what each one does well.
I run Altitude Design, a Squarespace Platinum Partner agency in the UK, and I have built more than 400 sites on the platform since 2018. Eight examples at the end are from my own agency; the rest were chosen because each teaches something specific.

How I chose and checked these Squarespace example websites
Most "best Squarespace websites" lists are years old. While researching this one I found several well-known examples now showing a "Website Expired" page, and others that had moved to Wix, Webflow or WordPress.
So every site below was checked in October 2026. I loaded each homepage and confirmed it was live and still served from Squarespace (the page source carries Squarespace's own markers and loads its assets from Squarespace's CDN). If I could not confirm both, the site was left out.
Each section also links to the matching SquareLocator template collection, so you can go from "I like that" to a starting point for your own site.
Hotel, venue and hospitality Squarespace websites
Hospitality is the sector I know best, and most of my agency's examples further down are hotels. Here are two from elsewhere.
1. Villa Rondinelli
A historic villa outside Florence that hires out its spaces for events, cultural programmes and photo shoots. The site is fully bilingual with an Italian and English switch, and the navigation is short and clear: spaces, heritage, art and botany, bookings. It lets the photography carry the mood and keeps the text minimal.
2. Bathhouse
A multi-location spa and sauna brand in New York and Philadelphia. The homepage opens with each location's address and a "Book Now" button showing a starting price, so a visitor can act within seconds. Separate pages for first timers, memberships and gift cards answer the obvious next questions.
For templates built around rooms, menus and direct booking, read my guide to the best Squarespace templates for hotels and hospitality.
Restaurant and café Squarespace websites
3. Coals Artisan Pizza
A Louisville pizzeria with several locations. Opening hours, online carry-out ordering, reservations and private parties are all reachable from the top of the homepage, and an award line and a customer quote sit high up as proof.
4. Blue Dog
A New York eatery whose entire navigation is menu, reservations, private events, takeout and delivery, and gallery. That restraint is the lesson: most restaurant sites only need five pages, and Blue Dog does not pad them out.

Photographer websites built on Squarespace
5. Adrienne Raquel
A photographer and director working between New York and Los Angeles. The homepage is simply an index of shoots, each titled with the subject or publication, which makes the client list do the selling. Photo, motion and shop are separate, so the portfolio is never cluttered.
6. Vanessa Todd Photographer
A Los Angeles wedding photographer whose H1 is literally "Editorial Wedding Photographer in Los Angeles", which is good local SEO. Press features, upcoming travel destinations and client reviews follow, so couples see credibility and availability before they enquire.
7. Alexandra Lambert
A California wedding, fashion and portrait photographer with a warm, conversational voice from the first line. The site puts investment, FAQs and policies in the main menu, which saves a lot of back-and-forth emails, and the blog feeds recent weddings onto the homepage.

Artist, designer and creative portfolio examples
8. Daniel Arsham
The New York artist's site works as a searchable directory of his work, filterable by material, year and city. It shows how far Squarespace can be pushed when an archive is large: the structure does the heavy lifting rather than a long scrolling homepage.
9. Mike Perry Studio
A Brooklyn art and design studio combining a shop, exhibitions, case studies, books and murals in one site, with customer accounts for collectors. A useful model if you sell work and take commissions under the same name.
10. Darren Booth
A Canadian artist and illustrator who splits his portfolio by discipline: illustration, lettering, portraits, surface design, painting, sculpture and collage. Each category has a one-line description, so art directors can jump straight to the kind of work they are hiring for.

Therapist, wellness and fitness Squarespace websites
11. Wholeness Collective Therapy Group
wholenesscollectivetherapy.com
A therapy practice in Carlsbad, California. The menu includes clinicians and "Cost & Info" as top-level pages, which removes two of the biggest worries for anyone looking for a therapist. The homepage copy names exactly what the team treats and how.
12. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Los Angeles
A larger group practice with a separate page for each condition and treatment, plus a page for every psychologist. That structure helps it rank for many searches. The free consultation offer appears near the top and again lower down.
13. Defining You Pilates & Fitness
A Pilates and personal training studio in St Paul, Minnesota. Schedule, pricing and a "Get Started" button sit in the header, and reviews from real clients fill the lower half of the homepage.

Coach and consultant Squarespace website examples
14. Gemma Gilbert
A UK business coach whose headline states exactly who she helps and with what. A client quote sits straight under it, followed by a personal introduction. Four menu items, one clear offer.
15. Jen Carrington
A business coach with a gentle, consistent voice. A free toolkit captures email addresses, while the podcast, essays and client stories keep people around long enough to trust her before they book.
16. Pinwheel Strategies
A career and leadership coaching practice with plenty of personality in the copy. It shows that a coaching site does not need to sound corporate to look professional, and a "Let's Chat" button stays in the header throughout.

Ecommerce stores built on Squarespace
17. Soilboy
A Singapore plant and ceramics shop. Products show the pot options directly in the listing, and workshops and modular shelving sit alongside the plants, so the shop sells a lifestyle rather than single items.
18. Supernatural
A US brand selling dye-free sprinkles and plant-based food colours. The copy is playful and specific, reviews are front and centre, and wholesale and bulk links sit in the footer for trade buyers.
19. Projects Contemporary Furniture
A Midwest furniture showroom that mixes a portfolio, brand directory, design services and a floor model sale. A good example of Squarespace serving a high-value, showroom-led business where most sales still happen in person.
For shops, start with templates for retail brands, templates for food and drink brands and store and commerce plugins. If you are weighing platforms, read Squarespace vs Shopify first.
Charity and nonprofit Squarespace websites
20. Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation
A San Francisco foundation preserving the history of the West Coast's largest immigration station. The menu splits cleanly into visit, education, discover, about and donate, with an events list on the homepage that gives people a reason to come back.
21. Mission Thrift
A group of charity thrift stores in Virginia. Every store's address, phone number and donation hours are listed on the homepage, followed by a simple "you thrift, we give" explanation of where the money goes.

Professional services websites on Squarespace
22. Hayes Barton Homes
A custom home builder in Raleigh, North Carolina. Just four pages (gallery, process, about, contact), with a client testimonial and an introduction to the founder on the homepage. For a trade business, that is often all that is needed.
23. Green Goose Writing
A book coaching and ghostwriting service for first-time memoir writers. Its homepage asks the reader three questions, then offers three routes depending on where they are, which is a smart way to handle a service with several entry points.

Sites from my own agency, Altitude Design
These are client sites my team at Altitude Design built on Squarespace. All were live on Squarespace when I checked them for this article. Several have had further work since launch, by us or by the client.
24. Pentillie Castle & Estate
An exclusive-hire castle and wedding venue on the Cornish bank of the River Tamar. We led its relaunch as an exclusive-hire venue, and the site separates private hire, weddings and retreats so each audience finds its own path quickly.
25. Talland Bay Hotel
A Cornish coastal hotel with a playful personality. Working alongside Dell'Anno Studio, we built a site with deliberately whimsical touches, but offers, table booking and room booking are never more than a click away.
26. Velvet Manchester
A boutique hotel on Canal Street. The site is imagery-led, with a booking button in the header and integrated booking for both rooms and the brasserie, because the aim was more direct bookings rather than relying on third-party booking sites.
27. The Gate London City
An aparthotel in the City of London. We built it mobile-first and still work on it with the team. The homepage carries a date picker, a book-direct offer, a neighbourhood guide and an FAQ, so guests can answer most questions without emailing.
28. Salumi Bar & Eatery
An independent restaurant in Plymouth's Millbay. The site is mobile-first with booking in the header, and we added takeaway ordering when restaurants needed it during the pandemic.
29. Colwith Farm Distillery
Cornwall's plough-to-bottle distillery. The site combines brand storytelling with an online shop for spirits and gifts and bookable distillery experiences, all on Squarespace.
30. Young Devon
A South West youth charity. With 51 Studio, we delivered an image-led, mobile-first site alongside a rebrand, with an integrated donation platform and an "I need help now" route on the homepage for young people who need support quickly.
31. Cornish Accounting Solutions
Chartered accountants in Bodmin. Rather than lead with accountancy jargon, the site leads with client stories, including video, and publishes how the firm prices its work.
What the best Squarespace websites have in common
Look across all 31 and a pattern appears. None of it is about a particular template.
| Habit | Where you can see it |
|---|---|
| The main action is visible without scrolling | Bathhouse, Coals, The Gate, Velvet |
| The headline says who it is for and where | Vanessa Todd, Gemma Gilbert, Cornish Accounting |
| Short navigation (often five items or fewer) | Blue Dog, Hayes Barton Homes, Gemma Gilbert |
| Price, cost or policy information is easy to find | Wholeness Collective, Alexandra Lambert, Cornish Accounting |
| Real proof near the top: reviews, press, client names | Adrienne Raquel, Supernatural, Defining You |
| Structure that scales: one page per service or category | CBT Los Angeles, Darren Booth, Daniel Arsham |
Two more lessons. Test your forms: a few of the sites I looked at had a newsletter block showing Squarespace's "needs a storage option" message, which means sign-ups go nowhere. And keep your plan renewed: several famous examples from older lists now show an expired page.
If you want to understand what lifts a site from tidy to premium, I wrote about it in what makes a premium Squarespace website and how to make a Squarespace website feel bespoke.
How to build a site like these
Almost every site above started from a template and was then shaped around the business. On client builds I usually pick a template for its structure rather than its demo photos, which get replaced anyway.
The quickest route is to browse the full Squarespace templates collection, filtered by your industry, then read my shortlist of the best Squarespace templates in 2026. Frequently Asked Questions
How can I tell if a website is built on Squarespace?
View the page source in your browser and search for "squarespace". Squarespace sites include a "This is Squarespace" comment and load images and scripts from static1.squarespace.com or images.squarespace-cdn.com. Browser extensions that detect website technology will also tell you.
Do big brands use Squarespace?
Yes. Several examples here, such as Daniel Arsham and Adrienne Raquel, work with major brands and publications, and Squarespace runs well for hotels, charities and multi-location businesses. Very large stores with complex inventory often suit a dedicated ecommerce platform better.
Can a Squarespace website look custom?
Yes. Most of the sites above started from a template, then had their layout, typography, photography and copy shaped around the business. Custom CSS and plugins cover most remaining gaps without a fully bespoke build.
Is Squarespace good for hotels and restaurants?
In my experience it is, provided the booking engine or reservation system integrates well. Most of my agency's hotel sites run on Squarespace with a third-party booking engine linked or embedded, and restaurants typically connect a reservation or ordering service.
Which Squarespace template do these example sites use?
Mostly it is hard to tell, because well-built sites are customised far beyond the original template. Squarespace 7.1 templates all share the same underlying features, so the choice matters less than the content, photography and structure you add.
Why do some Squarespace examples on other lists no longer work?
Sites expire when a plan is not renewed, and businesses sometimes move platform. While researching this list I found several often-quoted examples that had expired or moved to Wix, Webflow or WordPress, which is why every site here was checked in October 2026.
