Actor is a Squarespace 7.1 template sold through the SquareKicker template store and designed by Christy Price for actors and performers. The demo is an actor called Rex Wolfe: a statement hero that sums up his work in one line, then Film, Television and Biography panels that lead to their own pages, plus a press page and project pages with video reels, in black, warm neutral and a muted green.

What you get

  • Eight page layouts: Home, Film, Television, a Film project page, a Television project page, Press, Biography and Contact
  • Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine, so sections are drag and drop in the standard editor
  • 12 saved sections, including portfolio grids, project detail with video, press and bio
  • SquareKicker effects built in: desktop overlay menu, sticky sections and a sticky split
  • Video blocks for reels and a contact page for agents and casting

Who it suits

Screen and stage actors, voice artists and presenters who need a credible site for casting directors and agents, with credits split by medium and a page per notable project. Christy Price also suggests it for other performers, and the Film and Television pages rename easily to Stage, Voice or Commercials.

Honest limits

Headshots, reels and credits are yours to supply, and reels need hosting on YouTube or Vimeo. There is no Spotlight or casting profile integration, no blog and no shop. Two project page layouts mean duplicating for each role you want to feature. The menu and sticky effects depend on the SquareKicker Extension after the 30-day trial.

How it is delivered

SquareKicker templates install onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site the moment you buy, keeping or replacing your existing styles. It is a one-off purchase for one site, with a 30-day SquareKicker Extension trial and 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan. You need a Business or Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker does not refund digital products.
