Knead is a Squarespace 7.1 restaurant template designed by Vative Creative and sold through the SquareKicker Template Store. It is aimed squarely at pizza shops, grills and casual food businesses: warm reds and creams, big food photography, a menu that reads well on a phone, and sections for specials, a rewards programme, catering and customer reviews. Unlike most third-party templates, it installs directly onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site through SquareKicker's template engine rather than arriving as a duplicated demo site.
What it includes
SquareKicker list eight pre-built page layouts and 38 featured sections. The layouts shown on the store page are Home, About, Menu, Catering, Rewards and Contact, plus a landing page and a 404, and the section library covers hero, services, informational, gallery, reviews, pricing, team, transition and footer designs that you can mix into your own pages. Sticky block and scroll animations are built in through SquareKicker, and the template comes with a free 30-day SquareKicker Extension trial and a Squarespace plan discount. It is a one-off purchase per site with no ongoing fee for the template itself.
Who it suits
Independent restaurants, pizzerias, grills, cafes and small chains that need a menu-led site up quickly, and designers who build hospitality sites and want a modular section library rather than a fixed five-page demo.
Trade-offs
There is no online ordering built in; you would connect a third-party ordering or reservations tool. SquareKicker templates do not include pre-built commerce pages, so a shop selling sauces or merchandise is added with Squarespace's own store pages afterwards. The animations depend on SquareKicker, so if you let the extension trial lapse you keep the layout but lose the ability to edit those effects. It needs a Squarespace Core plan or higher (Business or Commerce on older plans), and the demo is password protected, so preview it from the store page.
How it installs
Buy it in the SquareKicker store, connect your Squarespace 7.1 site and choose whether to adopt the template's site styles or keep your own. The pages and sections appear in your site immediately, and you swap in your menu, photos and copy through the normal Squarespace editor.
