Looped

Looped is one of Squarespace's own free 7.1 templates, built on Fluid Engine and styled as the website of a curly hair salon. The demo describes itself as "a salon specializing in hair that spirals, swirls, waves, whirls, loops, and curls", and that playful line sets the tone. The nav is deliberately small: Home, Appointments and Shop, plus a cart. The home page runs through the salon's four services (curly cuts and trims, hydration consultations, original hair care products, event and editorial styling), a founder quote and a Come Visit section with the address. Appointments carries a scheduling block, and Shop is a small Squarespace store with four hair care products and filters.

Who it suits

Hair salons and independent stylists first, then barbers, nail and brow studios, and any appointment-based business that also sells a few products. It is not a wedding template, whatever the old listing on this page said: there are no event details, no couple galleries and no RSVP form.

One honest caveat

Three pages is a short list. There is no About page, no stylist profiles, no price list and no gallery in the demo, so you will add those yourself from blank sections. The Appointments page depends on Squarespace Scheduling, which is a separate subscription, and selling the products needs a plan that supports commerce. There is no custom code and every image is a placeholder.

Setting it up

Choose Looped in Squarespace's template picker when you start a new site, or open the demo and start from it. Swap the photographs, rewrite the services, connect Scheduling and add your products, then edit the rest with the drag and drop Fluid Engine editor.
