Sophie Squarespace 7.1 Template

Who Sophie is built for

Sophie is a Squarespace 7.1 template by Big Cat Creative built for wedding and couples photographers and videographers. The demo headline reads "Photography and Videography for Couples in Love" and the site is written in the voice of a single photographer, so this is a business site for the person behind the camera. The old listing described it as a template for couples with event details, galleries and RSVP forms; that is wrong. There is no RSVP form, no event schedule and no wedding website functionality. Sophie sells photography packages to couples, which is a different job entirely.

The pages and sections you get

The vendor lists seven designed pages and the demo confirms Home, About, Packages, Info, Portfolio, Blog and Contact. The home page opens with a full-width hero and three quick links (packages, galleries, contact), followed by a personal introduction, three client testimonials, an Instagram-style gallery, a featured clients block and a newsletter signup in the footer. Packages presents your offers with testimonials and a process section; Info is a single-package detail page with a timeline and price placeholder, deliverables and process steps; Portfolio is a gallery index and the Blog is a working journal. There is no shop in the base build. Matching shop, sales page, podcast, freebie and link page layouts exist, but they are sold separately as add-ons; the demo site carries them off the main navigation.

Design and customisation notes

Sophie is built on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine sections, so every layout is edited with the native drag and drop editor and site styles panel; there is no plugin or code to maintain. Big Cat Creative publishes reworked demos of the same template (Sophie Bold, Sophie Dark, Sophie Earth) to show how far the colours, fonts and imagery can be pushed, which I find a more honest demonstration of flexibility than a list of adjectives. Purchase includes delivery within 48 hours as a new site or an install into your existing 7.1 site, step by step video tutorials, a Squarespace resource library, editable Canva graphics, a copywriting workbook with AI prompts, an SEO checklist and a launch guide. Sophie is the rustic, romantic one in the range, with serif headings, warm neutrals and lots of full-width photography; the Earth variant pushes it further towards a boho feel.

One honest caveat

Sophie has no client galleries, proofing or booking. Delivering photos to couples still needs a separate service such as Pic-Time or Pixieset, and enquiries arrive through a plain contact form. If you need clients to book and pay dates on the site you would add Squarespace Scheduling or a third-party tool yourself.
