Overview

Store Locator from Elfsight puts a searchable map of your branches, stockists or service points on a Squarespace page. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's editor you add locations by address or business name, or upload them in bulk from a CSV file, and the widget pulls in details such as opening hours and phone numbers from Google Maps. Each location gets a card with address, website, email, phone, open or closed status, a description, a logo and photos, plus a call to action button. Visitors can search by postcode, name or address to find the nearest option, and Elfsight says no Google Maps API key is needed on your side.

Who it suits

Retailers with several shops, brands with a stockist list, franchises, clinics and any business with more than one physical location. Squarespace's own Map Block shows a single pin, so once you pass two or three locations a locator like this earns its keep. A free plan is available to start with.

One honest caveat

If you only have one location, the native Map Block already does the job with no third-party code. The widget loads from Elfsight's servers, so it depends on your Elfsight account staying active, and free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits. Location data also lives in Elfsight rather than Squarespace, so keep your own master list.

Installation

Build the locator in Elfsight's editor, copy the embed code and paste it into a Squarespace code block on your locations or contact page. Changes made later in the editor update on your site automatically.
