Testimonials Slider from Elfsight displays customer feedback on a Squarespace page, with quotes, profile photos and optional star ratings. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform, not native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's online editor, you can add author details, choose a slider or grid layout, and adjust how many testimonials appear across devices. Other options include autoplay settings, interface language, social profile links and image uploads. Long testimonials can be shortened with a Read more option. Add it inline where visitors can see your feedback, or use the floating layout across multiple pages. Changes made later in the editor update automatically on your site.
Who it suits
This widget suits businesses that want to show customer comments alongside author details, photos or ratings on a Squarespace page. You can use the slider for a section of a page or choose a grid for a dedicated testimonials page. A free plan is available to start with.
One honest caveat
Testimonials need to be added manually: the widget does not sync reviews from Google, Yelp or other external platforms. Ratings use whole stars only, with no half-star or decimal values. On the free plan, widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits; paid plans remove these. The widget stops showing if your Elfsight account lapses.
Installation
Build and customise the widget in Elfsight's editor, then copy its embed code. For an inline slider, paste the code into a Squarespace Code Block on the page. For a floating slider across multiple pages, the vendor's instructions use the Footer area in Squarespace Code Injection.

Choose a slider layout to place testimonials within a page, or a grid layout for a page dedicated to feedback. The vendor lists six ready-to-use templates. You can set the number of columns and rows for each device, or use Auto mode to adjust the number of visible testimonials responsively. Autoplay settings include adjustable speed and pause-on-hover, and visitors can also navigate manually.
For longer entries, the widget can truncate the text and add a Read more option that expands the content inside a card or popup. Image uploads can appear inside testimonial cards and enlarge in popups. Ratings are optional and use whole values from one to five stars. The editor also includes language settings for interface labels such as Read more.
