Overview
Tumblr Feed from Elfsight lets you place posts from a public Tumblr blog on a Squarespace page, including photos, GIFs and quotes. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform, not native Squarespace code. Build and customise it in Elfsight's online editor: choose from Grid, Masonry, List, Slider, Carousel or Collage, set the number of columns, rows and posts, and decide which post details appear. You can also filter posts by keyword, hashtag, specific post or date, moderate content manually, enable a Follow button, and use a popup view. Adjust the colour, background, font, buttons and popup styling before embedding.
Who it suits
This suits Squarespace site owners who publish on Tumblr and want to bring selected posts, images, GIFs or quotes into a page, with control over visible details and manual moderation. It can also suit creative sites that use Tumblr to share updates. A free plan is available to start with.
One honest caveat
The feed uses public Tumblr blogs, so private or restricted content is not supported. A Follow button takes visitors to Tumblr to subscribe, rather than keeping them on your Squarespace page. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits; paid plans remove those. The widget is hosted by Elfsight, so it stops showing if your Elfsight account lapses.
Installation
Create and customise the feed in Elfsight's online editor, using a public Tumblr blog URL and your chosen layout and post settings. Copy the generated embed code, add a Code Block to the relevant Squarespace page, and paste the code there. Later changes made in the editor update automatically.

Choose from Grid, Masonry, List, Slider, Carousel or Collage layouts. You can adjust the number of columns, rows and posts, and choose which details to show on each post, including the author's name and picture, publication date, Tumblr icon, text and share button. Manual moderation lets you remove unwanted posts from the displayed feed.
The editor includes filtering by keyword, hashtag, specific post or date. You can enable a Follow button, and choose to show posts in a popup. The popup has slider and feed viewing options, and can show full post details and navigation. Following the Tumblr blog takes visitors to Tumblr to subscribe.
Customise the widget's colours, background, font and buttons in Elfsight's online editor, with light or dark mode options also available. Once you have configured the feed, paste its embed code into a Squarespace Code Block. Changes made later in the Elfsight editor update automatically. The free tier includes Elfsight branding and monthly view limits, while paid plans remove those. The widget stops showing if the Elfsight account lapses.
