Whimsical Wedding

Whimsical Wedding is a Squarespace 7.1 template sold through the SquareKicker template store and designed by SKC Marketing. It is a wedding website for a couple, not a site for wedding planners or photographers. The demo is one long page for a fictional Washington DC wedding: the couple's names and date, a how-we-met story with the proposal, ceremony and reception details with times and venues, travel by air, train and car, a hotels list, things to do in the city, an RSVP form and a registry button. The header menu is anchor links that scroll to each section, with floral illustrations woven through a classic serif layout.

Who it suits

Couples who want a proper wedding website on their own domain rather than a free builder, and who are happy to fill in eight sections of their own text. It also renames easily for a rehearsal dinner or vow renewal. Wedding professionals should look elsewhere: there is no services page, portfolio or enquiry funnel.

Honest limits

It is a single page. Guest lists, meal choices and seating are not handled here; the RSVP form collects names and a message and you manage the rest in a spreadsheet. There is no password gate in the demo, so if you want the site private you set a site-wide password in Squarespace. The registry is a button to an external registry, not a shop. Weigh the template plus a Squarespace plan against a site that lives for a few months.

How it is delivered

SquareKicker templates install onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site the moment you buy, with a choice of Use Template Styles or Keep Existing Styles, so it can go onto a live site without wiping your fonts and colours. It is a one-off purchase for one site (a new licence per client project), no SquareKicker subscription is needed to keep using it, and a 30-day trial of the SquareKicker Extension and 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan are included. You need a Business or Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker does not refund digital products.
