Willow Whiskers

Willow Whiskers is a Squarespace 7.1 template sold through the SquareKicker template store and designed by Lesia Design and Digital for animal rescues, charities and small non-profits. The demo is a cat rescue: an animated Adopt, Don't Shop hero with layered visuals, Our Story, a stats band, Who We Are, Our Approach, impact stories, a How to Help block (make a donation, adopt a cat, volunteer), a sponsors strip, the team and a Stay Informed newsletter, in clean white and soft greys so the animal photography leads.

What you get

• Nine page layouts: Home, About, Ways to Give, Volunteer, Sponsor Us, Impact Stories, Connect, Privacy Policy and a styled 404, with a Give Now button in the header
• Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine, so sections are drag and drop in the standard editor
• 32 saved sections, including donation tiers, sponsorship levels, volunteer roles, impact stories, team and FAQ
• SquareKicker effects built in: magnetic motion, a link cursor, fixed and horizontal scrolling, sticky sections, a sticky split, a section slider and scroll effects
• Newsletter signup blocks across the site and several forms for volunteering and contact

Who it suits

Animal rescues, rehoming centres and small charities that rely on one-off and monthly donations, sponsors and volunteers. The structure (awareness, impact, then clear ways to help) transfers well to most cause-led non-profits, not only animal ones. As an agency that works with charities, this is the page set I would want a small charity to start from.

Honest limits

Donations run through whatever you connect: Squarespace donations, Donorbox, JustGiving or similar, with Gift Aid handled by that platform. There is no adoptable-animal database, so listings are hand-built or embedded from a rescue platform. The motion-heavy home page depends on the SquareKicker Extension after the 30-day trial. SquareKicker also tags it as medical, which it is not.

How it is delivered

SquareKicker templates install onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site the moment you buy, keeping or replacing your existing styles. It is a one-off purchase for one site, with a 30-day SquareKicker Extension trial and 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan. You need a Business or Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker does not refund digital products.
