The View is a Squarespace 7.1 template sold through the SquareKicker template store, credited there to Altitude, and it is a hotel and serviced apartments site rather than the estate agent listing template older listings described. The demo is a boutique aparthotel: a full-width hero with a book-now button, an escape-to-elegance introduction, a studios and apartments grid, an eat-and-drink section, things to do, a pool and gym block, a subscribe strip and a room page example with room details and other rooms. SquareKicker's own pitch names hotels, Airbnb hosts, real estate and travel agencies, and the layout will stretch to a holiday let or a small portfolio of rentals. What you get
Nine page layouts: Home, About Us, Studios and Apartments, Room Page, Drink and Dine, Pool and Gym, Things To Do, FAQs and Contact, on Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine
Nineteen SquareKicker sections including hero, hero card, studio listings, bedrooms, room details, other rooms, eat and drink, things to do, video, subscribe, FAQ and contact
A room page layout you duplicate per room or apartment, with a booking call to action in the header
A green, orange, white and brown palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor
A SquareKicker desktop overlay menu
A one-off purchase with a free 30-day SquareKicker extension trial
Who it suitsBoutique hotels, aparthotels, serviced apartment operators, holiday lets and Airbnb hosts with a handful of units, plus small guest houses that want a rooms grid, a dining page and a things-to-do page. A letting agent with a short list of properties could use the studio listings section for rentals, but it is a hospitality layout at heart.Honest limitsThere is no booking engine: the book-now button links to whatever you use (Squarespace Scheduling, a channel manager or a direct-booking widget), and there is no availability calendar. Rooms are hand-built pages, not a database, so an operator with dozens of units will find upkeep tedious. There is no property search or filtering, which is what a real estate agency actually needs, so treat the real estate label loosely. The overlay menu is a SquareKicker feature that needs a subscription to keep editing after the trial. How it is deliveredSquareKicker templates install through the SquareKicker Template Engine onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site: connect the free SquareKicker extension, pick the template and it installs in a few clicks, with the choice of keeping your existing site styles or replacing them with the template's. There is no duplicate site to copy from. The purchase is one-off and includes a 30-day SquareKicker extension trial; you need a Squarespace Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker template buyers get 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan.Related guide: compare it with the alternatives in our roundup of the best Squarespace templates for hotels and hospitality, or browse the Squarespace templates hub.
Reach is a Squarespace 7.1 Fluid Engine template from Happenstance Design Co., described by the designer as a sleek template for budding nonprofits and service-based businesses. It is built around landing page style layouts with clear calls to action, and it ships with a custom Squarespace training course so the person editing the site does not need prior experience.Who it suitsNew and growing nonprofits, appeal and campaign microsites, and service organisations whose website has to look legitimate to funders, board members and partners. The training course is the practical reason we would put Reach in front of a small team: it is often a volunteer or the founder who ends up maintaining the site, and Happenstance have planned for that. The password-protected page is a sensible touch for a board or staff portal. One honest caveatThe tone is marketing-led and can feel commercial for a community charity; the demo reads more like an agency than a grassroots organisation. There is a donate page, but no events collection, so if you run a regular programme of events you will add Squarespace's events page yourself. As with every template here, donations use Squarespace's donation block on a Business plan or higher. What is includedEleven custom-designed pages and three blog post templates: Home, About (Team), Services, Impact, Resources, News, Hiring (job postings), Donate, a password-protected client or board portal, Contact and a content-not-found page. Fonts, colours, images and graphics are all editable in the Squarespace editor with no code. Happenstance include a pre-launch checklist and the full training course.
The Squarespell Ultimate Squarespace Plugin Bundle is exactly what it says: every premium Squarespace plugin Squarespell sell, in one purchase, for a good deal less than buying them individually. Our previous listing described it as a navigation plugin, which it is not. The bundle covers product filtering, a mega menu, video carousels, animated counters, countdown bars, hover effects and more, all for Squarespace 7.1 and none of it needing you to write code.
What it includes
Every Squarespell premium plugin, current at the time of purchase, delivered as a single bundle. Squarespell's catalogue at the time of writing includes a slide-out cart, a multi-currency converter, comparison tables, a store locator, an estimated delivery date plugin and a dark mode plugin alongside the filtering, menu, carousel, counter, countdown and hover tools named on the bundle page. Two licences are offered: single website, or multi-use for unlimited websites. Squarespell is also a marketplace, so check the bundle page for the exact contents on the day you buy.
Who it suits
Agencies and freelance designers who build several Squarespace sites a year and would rather own a toolbox than buy plugins one at a time, and business owners planning a full upgrade of an existing site in one go. If you only need one or two of the plugins, buy those individually; the bundle only pays off when you will use a handful.
Trade-offs
Two honest caveats. A bundle tempts you to install plugins you do not need, and every extra script on a Squarespace site costs a little load time and adds a compatibility risk with other custom code, so be selective. And because the plugins are separate products under one licence, you install and configure each one individually; there is no single control panel. The product page listed no customer reviews when I checked, so you are relying on Squarespell's individual plugin pages and their verification process rather than bundle feedback.
How it installs
After purchase you receive the plugin files and instructions for each. Installation is copy and paste into code injection or code blocks, plugin by plugin, so you need a Squarespace plan that allows code injection for most of them. Squarespell publish guides for each plugin on their site.

Squarespace navigation folders go one level deep, and that ceiling arrives quickly: a site with several blogs, portfolio categories or service areas ends up flattening its structure into one crowded dropdown. Will Myers' Nested Menu Dropdowns plugin removes the ceiling by adding a second level of dropdown folders to your menu navigation, so folders can contain folders and your menu can finally mirror how your content is actually organised. Installation is copy-and-paste with a video, the plugin is automatically maintained as Squarespace changes, and licensing follows the usual Will Myers pattern: a single-site licence, or a multi-use licence covering unlimited websites and templates for sale.See the other navigation upgrades we rate in our guide to the best Squarespace mega menu and navigation plugins.
What Free Email Subscription Form Widget (Common Ninja) isFree Email Subscription Form Widget is Common Ninja's newsletter sign-up form, a hosted widget built in their editor and embedded on a Squarespace page with one line of code. The old copy here described buttons, tabs and accordions, a different product. What it doesThe vendor page lists name and email plus custom fields such as first name, interests, company, referral source and a marketing consent checkbox, reorderable by drag and drop. New subscribers can sync to your email platform; the vendor names Mailchimp, MailerLite, Klaviyo and Zapier. Honeypot fields and optional CAPTCHA keep bots off the list, repeat submissions can be blocked, and the subscriber list exports to CSV from the Common Ninja dashboard.Who it suitsBlogs, newsletters, launch waitlists and lead capture on Squarespace where you want segmentation fields or a direct sync to Klaviyo or MailerLite. One honest caveatSquarespace's own Newsletter Block is free, native and connects to Email Campaigns, Mailchimp, Zapier and Google Drive, so if you use one of those you probably do not need this. The widget earns its place for Klaviyo or MailerLite users and for consent and interest fields. Subscribers sit in Common Ninja's dashboard until synced, on a third party script.Setup and pricingBuild the form in Common Ninja's editor and paste the embed code into a Squarespace code block (Core, formerly Business, plan or higher). Common Ninja is recurring software: the free plan covers one email subscription form with no time limit, and paid tiers add forms, submission volume, premium skins and the advanced features noted above.Related guideRead my roundup of the best Squarespace plugins in 2026 or browse the plugins collection.
Google Maps Widget from Common Ninja puts an interactive Google map with multiple pins on a Squarespace page. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Common Ninja's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In their editor you add locations by address, by business name (matched through Google Places) or by exact coordinates, and give each pin a title, description, photo and category. Visitors click a pin to see an info window with the address, opening hours, phone, website and a Directions button that opens Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze on their phone. You can pick a map skin, turn on a searchable location list and adjust the look with custom CSS. Common Ninja handles the Google Maps connection, so there is no API key to set up on your side.Who it suitsSmall businesses with two or more locations, venues and event organisers, and anyone who finds the native Squarespace Map Block too limited: it shows a single pin in Google's default styling with no per-location details. The free plan covers one map with no time limit. One honest caveatThe free plan caps the number of pins per map, and category filters, CSV import and premium skins are paid features. It loads from Common Ninja's servers; if a paid subscription lapses the widget drops back to the free plan and premium features switch off. For a single location, the native Map Block is free and needs no third-party script.InstallationBuild the map in Common Ninja's editor, copy the embed snippet and paste it into a Squarespace code block on your contact or locations page. Edits made in the editor update every embed automatically.Related guide: see how it compares with the Elfsight and SquareWebsites options in our best store locator plugins for Squarespace roundup.
Will Myers' Image Hotspots plugin puts numbered markers on a Squarespace image, each opening a tooltip when clicked or hovered. It works on standard image blocks and on product detail images, which is the part most alternatives miss: you can annotate a product photo on the product page itself. The demo site shows the range well, with a trainer annotated by feature, a store page, a floor plan and an onboarding walkthrough.
What it includes
Markers you position over any image block or product image, with tooltips that can hold text, images and links (Will calls the richer ones rich tooltips). Style customisations for marker and tooltip appearance, copy-and-paste code, an installation video, and mobile-friendly behaviour so the markers remain usable on a phone. Like all Will's plugins it is Fluid Engine compatible and works on every Squarespace 7.1 site. Two licences: single site, or multi-use for unlimited sites and for templates you sell.
Who it suits
Shops that want to explain product features on the photo rather than in a bullet list, estate agents and architects with floor plans, software companies with screenshot walkthroughs, and any site where a picture needs labelling. I have used this pattern for a furniture maker and for a lab equipment supplier, and in both cases it replaced a long paragraph nobody read.
Trade-offs
Honest caveats: it needs a Core (Business) plan or above because it uses code injection, and Will cannot guarantee compatibility with other custom code. Support is on a best-effort basis for 60 days after purchase and covers the plugin, not individual customisation. Placing markers precisely takes a little care on Fluid Engine, where image sizes change between breakpoints, so check every hotspot on mobile before publishing.
How it installs
Watch the installation video, paste the code into code injection, then add markers by following the markup in the instructions. Will's plugins are maintained as Squarespace changes, and updates are pushed without you re-installing.

Facebook Reviews from Elfsight shows the recommendations left on your Facebook Page on a Squarespace site. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's editor you paste the URL of your public Facebook Page; no Facebook app or API setup is needed. Each review shows the author's name, profile photo, date, text and star rating with a link to your page, under a header with your overall rating and the number of people who recommend you. Six layouts, five colour elements and adjustable font sizes handle the look, an AI summary card can condense the feedback, and a review request button sends visitors to your Facebook Page to leave their own. Elfsight refreshes the reviews roughly every 72 hours.Who it suitsLocal businesses, event companies, salons, wedding suppliers and anyone whose customers already leave recommendations on Facebook rather than Google. A free plan is available to start with. One honest caveatFacebook moved from star reviews to recommendations some years ago, so what you display depends on what Facebook exposes for your page, and a page with few recommendations makes a thin widget. Each widget shows one page only. The Positive and Exclude filters let you hide criticism; consumer protection rules in the UK and elsewhere frown on selective display, so show the lot. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits, and the reviews disappear if your account lapses.InstallationAdd your page URL in Elfsight's editor, choose a layout, copy the embed code and paste it into a Squarespace code block where the reviews should appear. Later edits in the editor update automatically.
Online Form Builder is Elfsight's Form Builder widget, a general-purpose form tool for Squarespace that covers contact, feedback, survey, booking, quote and registration forms. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's editor you build from 22 field types, including file upload, signature capture, ratings and date pickers, add conditional logic so fields appear based on earlier answers, and split long forms into steps. Layouts are Default, Boxed or Floating (an expandable icon that can sit on every page). Submissions go to your Elfsight dashboard with email notifications to up to three recipients plus CC and BCC, an optional custom SMTP so emails come from your domain, and one-click integrations with Google Sheets, Mailchimp and Zapier. reCAPTCHA, saved progress and an AI generator that drafts a form from a text prompt are included.Who it suitsBusinesses whose forms have outgrown the native Squarespace Form Block: quote requests with conditional questions, applications with file uploads, surveys with ratings, or anything that needs a signature. A free plan is available to start with. One honest caveatFor a simple contact form the native Form Block is free, stores submissions in Squarespace and needs no third-party script. Choosing Elfsight means your form data lives on Elfsight's servers, which has data protection implications you should think through. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits, and the form stops working if your account lapses.InstallationBuild the form in Elfsight's editor, copy the embed code and paste it into a Squarespace code block, or into footer code injection for the Floating layout. Later edits in the editor update automatically.
What Clarkson isClarkson is one of Squarespace's own free 7.1 templates, built on Fluid Engine, and it costs nothing beyond your Squarespace subscription. The demo is an environmental non-profit campaigning on climate and habitat protection: a full-bleed nature hero, a mission statement, a leadership section, a take-action prompt and a supporter quote in a green, grey and white palette. The old listing on this site labelled it an art and design portfolio with a gallery page; there is no gallery in it.The pages and sections you getFive pages: Home, About, Initiatives, Contact Us and Take Action. The home page runs a hero, a two-column mission block, a leadership introduction, a take-action call to action with a photo, a pull quote and an events newsletter sign-up. About opens with a heritage statement and a six-block story grid, Initiatives is a blog collection listing campaigns such as responsible land use and ocean advocacy, Take Action pairs Donate and Volunteer blocks, and Contact Us is a short intro with contact details.Who it suitsA small charity, conservation group or campaign that needs a credible site quickly and for free. It is a mission-first layout: explain the cause, show the people, ask for help. It also works as a scaffold for a community group or advocacy project that will add pages later. One honest caveatClarkson gives you the structure and nothing else. The Donate and Volunteer buttons lead nowhere until you add a Squarespace donation block or a third-party giving tool, the About page is placeholder text, and there is no events page despite the newsletter promising event news. You will also be building alongside every other site that started from the same free template, so plan on changing the fonts and imagery.SetupChoose Clarkson when starting a Squarespace site or switch to it from the template picker, then edit every section in the native editor and site styles panel. There is no code, no delivery wait and no licence; budget one to three hours to replace the demo content, connect a newsletter storage option and add your giving tool.Related guideIf you are still comparing options, start with my full Squarespace templates hub, then narrow it down with the Squarespace templates for non-profits collection or my list of the best free Squarespace templates in 2026.
Copy To Clipboard streamlines content sharing on your Squarespace site, enabling visitors to easily copy text across devices. This plugin enhances user interaction with a customizable, mobile-responsive design, making it ideal for businesses and creatives looking to improve accessibility and engagement without complex setups or coding requirements.
Business Hours from Elfsight shows your opening times on a Squarespace page with a live open, closing soon or closed status. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's editor you enter your weekly schedule and any exceptions for holidays or special dates; the widget highlights today, shows when you next reopen if you are closed, and can display either a full table of hours or a compact status line that expands on click. A contact card adds your name, description, phone, email, logo and a photo, with an address that visitors can copy, open in Google Maps or get directions to. Call to action buttons cover WhatsApp, ordering, pricing, bookings through OpenTable, Booking.com, Yelp or Tripadvisor, and custom links.Who it suitsShops, cafes, salons, clinics, workshops and any local business whose customers ask whether you are open right now more than anything else. It is a neat answer for a footer or contact page. A free plan is available to start with. One honest caveatThe open or closed status is only as accurate as the hours you maintain in Elfsight, so bank holidays and early closures need entering there as well as on your Google Business Profile. A plain text block with your hours is free and never goes stale because of a lapsed account, whereas this widget loads from Elfsight's servers and free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits.InstallationSet up the widget in Elfsight's editor, copy the embed code and paste it into a Squarespace code block, or into footer code injection to show it site-wide. Later edits in the editor update automatically.
What it covers
Boxed Card Layout is a 30 minute CSS workshop from Chris Schwartz-Edmisten that builds one specific component: three items side by side, each in a bordered box, with a background colour effect on hover. The old listing here described it as a Fluid Engine card section. It is not; it is built on Squarespace 7.1's Auto Layout Simple List section and styled entirely with CSS.
The lesson covers the HTML structure of the Auto Layout Simple List section, how to write the CSS so the component is reusable and can be saved as a saved section without touching the code again, how to nest media queries so the cards stay responsive, and how to add the hover effect to each card. Chris positions it as a natural or holistic look, and the reviews on the page are mostly for his other workshops, which tells you this is a small, focused purchase rather than a flagship.
Who it is for
Squarespace designers with beginner to intermediate CSS who are bored of the standard three column layout and want a bordered card treatment they can drop into any site. If you cannot read CSS at all, you can still paste the finished code, but the teaching will pass you by.
Format and access
One pre-recorded video with the finished CSS, hosted on Chris's site. A one time purchase gives lifetime access; it is free for Pro members. No refunds, though Chris asks unhappy buyers to email him.
Where it falls short
Thirty minutes buys one layout. The reusable CSS pattern and the nested media queries are the transferable lessons, and they are useful ones, but the component itself is something an experienced CSS designer could write in an afternoon. It also depends on the list section markup, which Squarespace can change. Buy it for the technique if you are still learning CSS, or buy Chris's Custom Layouts course if you want a broader set of building methods.
Related guide: browse every course we list in the Squarespace courses collection, and read my practical guide on how to use custom CSS in Squarespace for where the code goes and how to keep it tidy. All three Schwartz-Edmisten workshops also feature in our best Squarespace courses in 2026 roundup.
Transform your Squarespace site with a modern, customizable navigation solution. This plugin delivers a sleek hamburger menu that enhances user experience and adapts seamlessly to all devices. Perfect for creatives and businesses, it simplifies navigation while ensuring a cohesive, professional look across your website, making it easier for visitors to find what they need.
Before and After Slider from Elfsight puts two images on top of each other on a Squarespace page with a draggable divider between them, so a visitor can slide left and right (or up and down) to compare the before state with the after. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's editor you upload the two images, choose a horizontal or vertical divider, set the image ratio and styling, and optionally enable a fullscreen mode that opens the comparison at full size. You then paste the embed code into your site.Who it suitsAnyone whose work is best shown as a comparison: renovation and landscaping firms, cleaners, decorators, photo retouchers, dentists and aesthetic clinics, car detailers and web designers showing a redesign. Squarespace has no native comparison block, so this fills a genuine gap. A free plan is available to start with. One honest caveatThe effect only works when both images are taken from the same angle at the same size, so it demands discipline in how you shoot. The widget also loads from Elfsight's servers, free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and monthly view limits, and if you only need one or two comparisons a single-purpose code snippet might be lighter than a hosted widget.InstallationBuild the slider in Elfsight's editor, copy the embed code and paste it into a Squarespace code block where you want the comparison to appear. Edits made later in the editor update on your site automatically.
The Center Categories (Mobile) plugin enhances mobile navigation by organizing content clearly, making it easy for visitors to find what they need quickly. With customizable layouts that align with your brand, this Squarespace 7.1 tool improves user engagement and aesthetics, ensuring a seamless experience across devices for both creatives and small businesses.
AccoTabs handles the two layouts Squarespace never shipped properly, accordions and tabs, in a single plugin with a clever third mode: Auto-Adapt switches tabs into stacked accordions based on the visitor's screen width, so mobile takes care of itself. Content can be pulled dynamically from a Blog or Portfolio page, with thumbnail images available inside tab titles, and behaviour options include limiting accordions to one open panel at a time or enabling hover-activated tabs. Customisation runs through a built-in CSS generator with no coding required, and installation is a copy and paste snippet. $49 as a one-off for a single site, with a $249 agency licence covering unlimited client sites.See what else made our roundup of the best Squarespace plugins in 2026.
Enhance your site’s navigation with the Restaurant Menu Widget, designed for Squarespace 7.1. This tool simplifies the management of multi-level menus and mobile navigation, ensuring a seamless user experience without the need for custom coding. It integrates directly with Squarespace’s editor, making adjustments intuitive and straightforward for restaurant websites.
Cookie Consent from Elfsight adds a cookie banner to a Squarespace site. It is an embeddable widget hosted on Elfsight's platform rather than native Squarespace code. In Elfsight's editor you choose between a notification-only banner and a consent request with Accept and Decline buttons, write the message, add a link to your privacy or cookie policy, and pick a Bar layout (top or bottom) or a Box layout (left, right or centre). Colours, font size and an optional cookie icon match it to your site, and Elfsight supplies GDPR-styled templates. A visitor's choice is stored in their browser, so the banner does not reappear on every visit.Who it suitsSite owners who want more control over the wording, position and look of the banner than Squarespace's built-in cookie tools allow, or who need the same banner design across several platforms. A free plan is available to start with. One honest caveatSquarespace already has a free cookie banner under Settings, Cookies and Visitor Data, and it ties into Squarespace's own analytics cookies. Elfsight's page describes a notice with consent buttons; it does not describe blocking third-party scripts until consent is given, so if you need genuine prior-consent blocking for a regulated audience, confirm that with Elfsight and your legal adviser before relying on it. Free-tier widgets carry Elfsight branding and view limits, and the banner disappears if your account lapses.InstallationBuild the banner in Elfsight's editor, copy the embed code and paste it into Squarespace footer code injection so it appears on every page. Later edits in the editor update automatically.
Marigold is Studio Mesa's five page Squarespace 7.1 template for wedding photographers. Its elegant, gallery led style presents portfolios, packages and enquiry pages in a professional but approachable way that suits the wedding market. Every purchase includes an unlimited licence, instant delivery and lifetime email support.
Transform your Squarespace site with a sleek and customizable newsletter plugin that enhances audience engagement. This user-friendly tool allows businesses and creatives to easily create mobile-responsive newsletters, ensuring your content stands out. Drive conversions and foster connections without the hassle of technical complexities, making your website a dynamic platform for interaction.
What it covers
Custom Layouts in Squarespace is Chris Schwartz-Edmisten's course on building designs in Fluid Engine that do not look like a Squarespace template. Chris has designed on Squarespace full time since 2018, is a Squarespace Circle Leader and runs a YouTube channel of more than 6,000 subscribers about custom CSS, and this course is the material he does not give away there.
There are five video modules. Gathering Inspiration covers where to find sources for genuinely custom designs. Fluid Engine Tips and Tricks is the techniques Chris uses to build faster and avoid the spacing and mobile surprises that put people off Fluid Engine. How to Create Split Layouts covers full bleed split designs with images, video, slideshows and grid style page layouts. The Complete Guide to Boxed Content walks through the three ways of boxing content and the trade-offs of each. The Full Homepage Build is a 50 minute lesson where Chris builds a complete homepage from a custom mockup, start to finish. A bonus module gives a 20 per cent discount code for his plugins, workshops and Pro membership.
Every layout comes with copy and paste CSS, and access is lifetime, including future video and CSS updates.
Who it is for
Squarespace designers who lose clients, or lose margin, when someone shows up with a complex mockup and asks whether it can be done on Squarespace. It is beginner friendly on the CSS side because the code is supplied, and several reviewers with years of Squarespace experience say they still picked up new techniques.
Format and access
Self-paced video hosted on Chris's own site, with the CSS included in each lesson and email support from Chris if something does not make sense. Squarespace 7.1 only; it does not cover 7.0. No refunds.
Where it falls short
The lessons are about building techniques, not design taste, so the inspiration module is only a starting point if you are not already confident with layout. Because the CSS is supplied rather than explained line by line, you will get more out of it if you already understand the basics; pair it with the free CSS material Chris publishes. And the methods are tied to how Fluid Engine behaves today, which Squarespace changes from time to time, so the promised updates matter.
