What Agaro is

Agaro is one of Squarespace's own free 7.1 Fluid Engine templates, built as the site of a small strategy and design agency called Agaro Collective. It is a four page services site: Home, Services, About and Contact, with big serif headlines, italic accent words and a scrolling marquee strip that repeats a line like "We help you realise your potential". The old listing on this page described a consultant template with testimonials and a portfolio page; the demo has neither. It is an agency services site with no case studies and no client quotes.

What it does

The homepage stacks a text hero, an introduction with a link to the about page, a three column "what we do" section, the scrolling marquee, a mission statement, a four column services grid (general design, digital advertising, data and analytics, SEO) with sub services listed under each, a second marquee and a contact call to action, then a footer with the agency blurb and navigation. The Services page expands each of those categories with a paragraph. About is a team story page with a stat, and Contact is a simple page with email, phone and address. Everything is native Fluid Engine, so the marquee is a Squarespace scrolling section rather than custom code and can be edited or removed in place.

Who it suits

Marketing, branding and design agencies, consultancies and small studios that sell services rather than products and want a confident, typographic homepage that reads well without a lot of photography. It is a good free starting point when the client has strong copy and little imagery.

One honest caveat

There is no work or case study page, no testimonials section and no blog in the demo, which is a lot to be missing for an agency site; most clients will want at least one of those before launch. The marquee sections also date quickly and can distract on mobile, so I would keep one at most. As with every Squarespace template there is no third party support or setup guide beyond the Squarespace help centre.

Setup

Agaro is free and included with every Squarespace plan. Start a trial from the Squarespace templates page, choose Agaro and the demo content is loaded for you to replace. No licence and no install. Adding a portfolio, blog or scheduling page is done from the standard page library, and Commerce or custom code need a Core plan or higher.
