Who Antique Hotel is built for

Antique Hotel is a SquareKicker template designed by Square Design for small hospitality businesses: boutique hotels, guest houses, bed and breakfasts and holiday rentals. Let me clear up the old listing first, because it described this as a property listings template with a "Properties" page. It is not. The demo is a classic lakeside hotel near Stresa in Italy, with rooms, a restaurant and guest reviews, and there is nothing here for estate agents or property managers. It runs on Squarespace 7.1 through the SquareKicker Template Engine and is credited in the demo footer as "Designed by Square Design, built with SquareKicker".

The pages and sections you get

The live demo navigation gives you Home, a Rooms and Suites index with three room detail pages (Classic Room, Superior Room and Antique Suite), About Us, Restaurant and Bar, FAQ, Contact, plus a styled 404 and a privacy policy page. The store page counts 11 pre-built page layouts and 45 featured sections covering hero, gallery, testimonials, people, menu, pricing, services, FAQ and footer layouts. The home page opens with a full-bleed hero, an introduction to the property, an image gallery, guest testimonials grouped by trip type (business, romantic, family), a location block and a closing call to action. Each room page has a description, a rate block, a gallery and links to the other rooms. The Restaurant page is a proper daily menu with starters, mains, desserts and drinks, followed by a "plan your dinner" prompt. There is no blog and no shop.

Design and customisation notes

The look is warm and traditional: serif display type, cream and deep green tones and large photography. SquareKicker adds a desktop overlay menu, sticky split and sticky section layouts, horizontal scrolling, scroll effects and custom cursors, all set without code. Because it installs through the Template Engine you can drop it onto a new or an existing 7.1 site and choose whether to adopt the template's styles or keep your own. The template is a one-off purchase and includes a 30-day trial of the SquareKicker extension; the site itself needs a Squarespace Core plan or higher (Business or Commerce on older plans).

One honest caveat

There is no booking engine. The "Contact us" buttons lead to a form, and the room rate is a static text block. For real reservations you will need to embed a third-party booking widget or link out to a channel manager, and that is worth planning before you buy. If you want an integrated online shop for vouchers, SquareKicker templates do not ship with commerce pages, so you would build that with native Squarespace Commerce afterwards.
