What Aurora is

Aurora is one of Squarespace's own free 7.1 templates, built on Fluid Engine, and it costs nothing beyond your Squarespace subscription. The demo is a luxury meditation retreat: a soft green and neutral palette, uppercase sans-serif headings, large landscape imagery and three multi-day retreat packages sold as products with selectable dates. The old listing on this site described class schedules, membership options and testimonials, none of which are in the demo.

The pages and sections you get

Three pages: Home, About and Services, plus a cart. The home page runs a hero with a book-experience button, a three-column features row covering accommodation, instructors and digital detox, two image-led statement sections and an upcoming retreats block listing three packages with a date selector and a book button each. About is a short two-paragraph introduction over an image, and Services repeats the retreat packages with a scenic intro. The packages are Squarespace products with date variants, which is a neat way to sell fixed-date experiences without a booking plugin.

Who it suits

A retreat centre, meditation or yoga teacher, spa or wellness host selling a handful of dated experiences. The product-with-variants approach is the useful idea here, and it transfers to workshops, courses and residencies of any kind.

One honest caveat

Three pages is thin. There is no blog, no team page, no testimonials and no booking calendar, so you will be adding those sections yourself if you need them, and selling the packages as shown needs a Squarespace plan with Commerce. Because it is a free template you will share its bones with many other sites, so change the fonts and imagery early.

Setup

Choose Aurora when starting a Squarespace site or switch to it from the template picker, then edit every section in the native editor and site styles panel. There is no code, no delivery wait and no licence; budget one to three hours to replace the demo content and set up the retreat products with your own dates and prices.

FAQs

FAQs

Which pages are included in the Aurora Squarespace template?
Three in the demo: Home, About and Services, plus the cart. The retreats are set up as Squarespace products with date variants, so the Services page doubles as a small store.
Who is Aurora designed for?
Wellness retreats, meditation and yoga centres and spa-style businesses. The demo is a luxury meditation retreat selling three multi-day packages with selectable dates.
How much does Aurora cost?
Nothing beyond a Squarespace subscription. It is one of Squarespace's own free 7.1 templates, though selling the retreat packages as shown needs a plan with Commerce features.
Does Aurora include class schedules or memberships?
No. The old listing here said it did, but the demo has no schedule, membership or testimonial sections. It sells fixed-date retreat packages as products.
Can I change the colours and fonts in Aurora?
Yes. Aurora is native Squarespace 7.1 Fluid Engine, so colours, fonts, sections and layouts are all edited in the standard editor and site styles panel with no code.
Is three pages enough?
For a retreat with a few packages it is a sensible start, and you can add pages from the site menu. If you need a blog, a team page or a booking calendar you will be building those sections yourself.
