Hunter is a Squarespace 7.1 template by GoLive built for service businesses that also sell products. The demo is a luxury interior design studio in New York: a hero that states the studio's promise, selected projects, an about section, a four-step process, a shop preview and a press strip. It is a studio site with project case studies, not the artist gallery template older listings described.
What you get
- Seven pages: Home, Services, About, Portfolio, Portfolio Item, Shop and Contact (the demo also carries a Press page)
- Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine, so sections are drag and drop in the standard editor
- A Portfolio built as project case studies, each with its own Portfolio Item page for images and a write-up
- A Shop page on Squarespace Commerce; the demo mixes its own products with links out to favourite retailers
- A red, black and white palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor, no code needed
- A contact form and newsletter sign-up, plus GoLive's free five-day customisation course, customer community and unlimited email and Loom support
Who it suits
Interior designers, architects, home stagers and design-led studios who sell a service first and a few products second. The process section and the case-study portfolio are the strong parts, and they carry over well to landscape designers, event designers or branding studios. If you have no products at all, GoLive's Trove Agency covers similar ground without the shop.
Honest limits
Selling from the Shop page needs a Squarespace plan with commerce, which on current pricing means Core or higher with transaction fees, or Plus and Advanced without them. There is no blog page, so a studio that publishes regularly will add one. The portfolio is a case-study layout rather than a masonry gallery, which suits designers more than photographers. GoLive's sales pages are templated, so judge the template from its demo rather than the sales copy.
How it is delivered
Within 24 hours of purchase GoLive send a contributor invite to a new Squarespace trial site with Hunter installed. If you already have a Squarespace 7.1 site they can install the pages into it as a paid add-on. You customise fonts, colours, images and text in the standard editor, then subscribe to a plan when you are ready to publish. GoLive customers get an extended six-month Squarespace trial and 20 per cent off the first year of an annual plan.
