Margot is a Squarespace 7.1 Fluid Engine template by Studio Founded for commercial, brand and service-based photographers. The demo is a commercial photographer working with independent brands: a bold black and white home page in Helvetica Neue with a latest projects grid, a short client list, a newsletter offer for a free workshop, a news and articles feed and a work-with-me footer. Studio Founded describe it as punchy and editorial, and the custom code adds sticky scrolling blocks, multi-font headings and hover effects that Squarespace does not offer on its own.

Who it suits

Commercial and brand photographers sharing campaigns, lookbooks and creative services, and lifestyle or documentary photographers who also sell workshops, presets or prints. The structure guides a visitor from work to services to an enquiry, and the sales page gives a product launch somewhere to live without a separate site.

Honest limits

Studio Founded say plainly that it is not a shop-first template; if selling products is the main job, their Luchia template is the better fit. The custom-coded features need a Core, Plus or Advanced plan, so the Basic plan is out. Fifteen pages is a lot to fill, and the two portfolio and journal variants mean deleting what you do not use. The demo copy is placeholder in places, with lorem ipsum in the journal, so you write your own. It is a new site rather than a theme; installing into an existing site is a paid install package.
