Nite is a Squarespace 7.1 template by GoLive for shops and service-based businesses. The demo is a personal styling brand that sells jewellery, clothing, homeware and accessories from a shop, offers styling services, and runs a blog on fashion and lifestyle. It is not a CV or resume template, whatever older listings said: there is no resume or experience page anywhere in it.
What you get
- GoLive list Home, Services, About, Portfolio, Portfolio Item, Shop and Contact layouts; the demo also carries a Blog with categories
- Squarespace 7.1 with Fluid Engine, so sections are drag and drop in the standard editor
- A home page with an introduction, featured products with quick view, two service or offer blocks, a blog teaser, about and contact prompts, an Instagram prompt and a newsletter sign-up
- A dark, neutral palette that changes in the Squarespace style editor without code
- GoLive's free five-day customisation course with step-by-step videos, a customer community, and unlimited email and Loom support
- An extended six-month Squarespace free trial and 20 per cent off your first year on an annual plan
Who it suits
Stylists, boutiques, makers and small brands that sell a modest range of products and a service alongside them: a personal stylist with a curated shop, a florist who also does events, an interiors consultant with a homeware edit. The blog categories in the demo (fashion, styling tips, lifestyle, photography) tell you the tone GoLive had in mind.
Honest limits
Selling from the Shop page needs a Squarespace Commerce plan, or a Business plan with transaction fees. The demo home page leans on product photography, so a service-only business will have gaps to fill. The dark palette is a personality; a bright brand will change more than colours. GoLive's sales page for Nite carries a line of copy from their Hunter template, which is a reminder to judge the template from its demo.
How it is delivered
Within 24 hours of purchase GoLive send a contributor invite to a new Squarespace trial site with Nite installed. If you already have a Squarespace 7.1 site they can install the pages into it as a paid add-on. You customise fonts, colours, images and text, then subscribe to a plan when you are ready to publish.
