Nora

Nora is a Squarespace 7.1 template by The Creative Motif, sold through the SquareKicker template store, built for creative educators who sell classes and workshops and run a podcast. The demo is an art teacher for creatives: a hero, a seen-in logo strip, a teacher-for-creatives introduction, featured classes (beginner painting, advanced watercolours, frame to sell), in-person workshops, a podcast block for The Artful Educator, testimonials and a keep-in-touch newsletter, with a Classes page of six courses, a Workshops page of three events, a Podcast page with a feed page behind it, About and Contact. The old listing had the audience right but listed Courses and Events pages that are actually named Classes and Workshops, and called the blog and newsletter the main features when the classes, workshops and podcast are.

Who it suits

Painters, illustrators, potters and other creatives who teach classes and workshops and want a podcast alongside, plus art tutors and craft educators. With new imagery it works for a music teacher, a writing coach or a cookery school with a similar classes-workshops-podcast shape.

Honest limits

Classes are sold, not delivered: to host lessons you add Squarespace Courses or an external platform on a plan that supports digital products, and to take payment you add commerce or a payment link. Workshops have no ticketing without commerce or an Eventbrite embed. The podcast feed is a Squarespace blog with podcast RSS, which works for Apple and Spotify but is not a full podcast host. No blog page separate from the podcast feed. The scroll effects are SquareKicker features that stay in place after the 30-day trial but need a subscription to keep editing.

How it is delivered

SquareKicker templates install through the SquareKicker Template Engine onto a new or existing Squarespace 7.1 site: connect the free SquareKicker extension, pick the template and it installs in a few clicks, with the choice of keeping your existing site styles or replacing them with the template's. There is no duplicate site to copy from. The purchase is one-off and includes a 30-day SquareKicker extension trial; you need a Squarespace Core plan or higher to publish, and SquareKicker template buyers get 10 per cent off a Squarespace plan.
