Paloma is one of the most popular templates in the official Squarespace library, and it is completely free with any Squarespace subscription. It is a warm, content-first 7.1 design built around your latest work: the homepage leads with recent episodes or posts rather than a generic hero, so it suits podcasters, writers, bloggers, artists and personal brands who want their content to be the focus.
Because episodes are structured as blog posts, Squarespace automatically generates a podcast RSS feed you can submit to Apple Podcasts and Spotify, with native audio playback on the page and built-in newsletter and social sections for growing an audience. The typography-led layout looks considered with nothing more than your own words and images added.
Paloma is not built for ecommerce or structured sales pages, so product-led or service businesses are usually better starting elsewhere. For a full breakdown of what it does well and when a premium template is the better call, read our Squarespace Paloma template review.
Typography and spacing in the demo skew readable over decorative—you’re meant to inherit hierarchy, then tune fonts in Site Styles.
If you run multiple services or locations, check whether the demo’s support pattern scales or needs duplicate sections.
SquareLocator aggregates Paloma so you can compare vendors; confirm license, updates, and support with Squarespace via the product link.
Worth testing if you want a technology-shaped skeleton on Squarespace 7.1 without rebuilding every section by hand.
